Present Mask to the World

We are a team of engineers with more than ten years of experience in optical and acoustic fields having worked at Foxconn, the primary manufacturer for the iPhone and iPad, we spent the past 13 months working on the optical and acoustic designs of the Mask before we showcased our product to the world in CES 2015 at Las Vegas. Here are some of the photos Andrew took at Dashbon's booth in CES.

How We Got Here

During the past 13 months, we went through several iterations and simulations of ergonomic designs to arrive at the current Mask prototypes that we presented at CES 2015. We will continue to do so and improve the ergonomics of the Mask by building more mockup samples with different ergonomic designs before the headset toolings are finalized in June.

What's Next

Our team have designed, manufactured and brought other products with similar or greater complexity to market in large volume in the past. (As matter of fact, we've successfully launched our Flicks campaign and we are on track to mass production in June!) We are working with the contract manufacturer that we've been partnered with in the past. We are an experienced team ready to assist them with any engineering issues. We've visited their manufacturing facilities after CES to ensure smooth transition from prototyping stage to mass production in October.

Development Timeline

We want our Indiegogo contributors to be the first to have Mask. Here's our plan to accomplish the task.

Jan - Showcased Mask prototypes to the world at CES 2015 in Las Vegas.

March - Launch Indiegogo campaign and make lots of Indiegogo friends.

April/June - Finalize on the micro optical engine design and toolings. Improve ergonomic design of headset.

July - Headset toolings start. Apply safety and regulatory certifications.

Aug - Design Verification builds, product qualification, quality assurance.

Sep - DVT Pre-production builds

Oct/Nov - PVT Pre-production builds.

Dec - Mass production and delivery begins.
