We match artists with candles, candles with causes, and causes with people.
MATCH + LIGHT was inspired by candles hand-made by my mom for my supper club, ATE 3 FOUR, here in Chicago. These candles sparked incredible conversations at our dinner table convincing us that candles have the power to DO MORE.
5 Things About MATCH + LIGHT:
- We’re a mother-daughter team on a mission to DO GOOD with candles.
- Each month, we release a limited edition candle that SUPPORTS A CAUSE.
- The first series of candles will support a cause we care about. CANCER.
- The next series will support a cause YOU care about.
- Each candle features artwork from INDEPENDENT ARTISTS, hand-poured using the highest quality sustainable ingredients.
Our Goal:
We are ready to shed some light on cancer. We have sourced all our materials locally and the fragrance has been tested. Now we just need $5k to fund the production of the first series of Match + Light candles to support cancer.

To make our candles, we partnered with local candle maker, Chicago Candle Factory to hand pour each and every candle.
We took the money typically wasted on a fancy box and reinvested that into a custom satin black glass that is reusable so it's better for the environment.
Each candle, features artwork from independent artists because we believe that beautiful art sparks conversation.
The candle itself is made from a natural soy wax and is double the size of the average candle you typically buy in a boutique store.

Together with your help, we can make a difference and impact the lives of many living with Cancer. With nine in ten US homes having candles as decor, we see our candles as the perfect way to leave a lasting impression, bringing art into people's homes as well as sparking meaningful conversations for a cause we all care about.
At Match + Light we have set a goal to impact 50,000 lives in 2016 with our candles for a cause. Contribute today and join us.

So why did we choose cancer? For us it's personal.
My mom has lost both her sisters and her mother to cancer. With Match + Light we realized there was more we could do to help families living with cancer so that is where we are starting.

For each of our candles we partner with a cause. For our first candle, we are thrilled to partner with Be the Match® . They help blood cancer patients find their life-saving donor match. $4 from the purchase price of every one of our Be the Match limited-edition candles will help reach more donors and find more matches.

Risks & Challenges
No new venture comes without risk. We’ve worked for the last couple months to secure trusted partners for local sourcing and manufacturing. When manufacturing there is always a chance of delays. We will do our best to communicate any delays. We have forecasted our shipping to take place at the end of May and hope to under promise and over-deliver. A quality product is nothing without happy customers and prompt support, so we pledge to deliver just that.
