Mission Profile

The Military Minute is a series of short films honoring and promoting organizations that support the troops down range, families back home, and vets in desperate need of care.

The organizations featured in the films are doing vitally important work and often struggle to keep their doors open due to budget limitations. The purpose of the Military Minute films is to create awareness and ultimately raise badly needed funds so the good works can continue.

The featured organizations pay nothing to appear in the films.

Filmmaker and US Navy veteran Scott Mactavish and the Mactavish Pictures team are producing the films, and will be partnering with their friends in the major media to promote the films far and wide. Mactavish's recent critically-acclaimed films include MURPH: The Protector and Ride for Lance. A passionate advocate for veterans' issues, he has appeared on Fox and Friends, NBC, CBS, PBS and MSNBC and has spoken at schools and universities across the country, including The University of Virginia and Penn State.

First Steps
The funds from this campaign will be used as follows:

Complete the website build-out at Military Minute
Shoot and edit the first Military Minute, featuring LZ-Grace, as a proof of concept
Travel to sponsorship meetings with major corporations
Travel to partnership meetings with major media companies
Launch social media campaigns to support the film series
