The project
We are a group of young filmmakers from Spain that have embarked on this crazy journey that is making a short film.
Minerva McGonagall is one of the most beloved characters of the Harry Potter universe, and as fans, we just couldn't wait to see her days as a Hogwarts student and all the adventures she lived.
We have developed a 20 minute screenplay based on Minerva's biography, written by J.K. Rowling. You can read her biography here: https://www.wizardingworld.com/writing-by-jk-rowling/professor-mcgonagall
Or, you know, wait to watch our film to avoid spoilers!
We have shot one of the scenes of the short film, which we present to you as a teaser trailer, so that you can see what the finished product will look like.
We want this short film to feel close to the Harry Potter films, especially the Philosopher's Stone and the Chamber of Secrets, both in quality and aesthetic.
We want you to feel as if you were watching one of your favourite childhood films, with the characters you know and love, while at the same time presenting new stories and adventures.
If you are as passionate about these characters as we are, together we can tell their story!
Of course, to shoot the rest of the film we need to rent cameras, lights, sound equipment, secure locations, build sets, design costumes, props, as well as pay for postproduction; editing, coloring, sound mixing...
For all that, we need 30.000€ (around $33,000).
Because this is a fan film, we can not and will not be making any money from this movie. All the funds raised will go into the production of the film. It will be released to the public FOR FREE on Youtube.
- With your contribution, however small, you can make the magic come to life.
