The Alpha Pad has been created to offer the comfort, analog movement and portability of a gamepad, the precision of a mouse and the customisability of a keyboard.

The Alpha Pad’s ergonomic design and intuitive control layout have been painstakingly crafted to provide the optimum user experience, even over extensive and challenging periods of use.

The use of special materials ensures maximum grip while a series of removable weights in its handgrips ensure the pad sits comfortably in any hand.

The digital movement controls offered by keyboards have never been a match for the analog control of a gamepad’s left stick, but pro gamers have traditionally preferred the aiming accuracy of a mouse.

Boasting an amplitude of 46 degrees, compared to the 38 degrees offered by most controllers, the Alpha Pad’s ultra-sensitive right stick offers the pinpoint precision of a gaming mouse.

Meanwhile, larger action buttons ensure complete control and a specially-designed, thumb-friendly directional pad is perfect for nailing complex combo chains.

Compatible with all PC games, the Alpha Pad offers two modes aimed at different playing abilities. Its upgradeable onboard memory, which can hold up to four separate profiles, will ensure it stays at the cutting edge as PC gaming evolves.

Designed for intermediate gamers, Classic Mode offers up direct and X input modes. Engaging Pro-Gamer Mode, offers up to four preset profiles tailor-made for specific genres and games meanwhile, elevates the Alpha Pad’s performance potential to the elite level, allowing it to excel in every genre, from first-person shooters like Counter-Strike to multiplayer online battle arena titles like League of Legends and real-time strategy games like StarCraft. Aimed at professional players, this mode allows users to customise profiles to produce  a truly personalised setup. 

Featuring four extra buttons, the fully-programmable Alpha Pad can easily adapt to all preferences. It can even directly emulate a keyboard (buttons and left stick) and mouse (right stick and shoulder buttons).

The Alpha Pad’s onboard memory contains up to four profiles with a software installation required to modify the settings.  Once your controller is configured, thanks to the dedicated software you can bring it with you, meaning you can travel, plug, play and keep on winning.

Wired for extra accuracy, the Alpha Pad’s durable braided cable features a robust metal connector that can be quickly detached for transportation.

Benefiting from an extensive development process and input from both the French eSports Academy and world champion professional video gamer Norman “GEN1US” Chatrier, the Alpha Pad has generated a great deal of interest amongst eSports enthusiasts.  But how did the project get started?

The notion of a high-end controller aimed at the keyboard-and-mouse-dominated PC eSports market isn’t a new one. Gamers and eSports enthusiasts – especially those with console gaming backgrounds – have been calling for a new way to take part in professional PC gaming for many years.

After fielding a huge number of requests from frustrated gamers amongst the vibrant community that had grown around its groundbreaking PC gaming products, NACON decided to take on the challenge.

To make it truly competitive at the elite level of PC gaming, the new gamepad would require software and hardware innovations never before seen in a controller. Its right stick would have to mirror the manoeuvrability of a gaming mouse and its button layout would have to offer the flexibility of a keyboard.

After developing a series of early prototypes, NACON entered discussions with the French eSports Academy and enlisted the help of respected pro-gamer, GEN1US. The early tests were promising and what was to become known as the “Alpha Pad” began to generate a great deal of interest amongst gamers. 

The final prototypes were produced in January 2016 and, with your support, we will be able to begin production in anticipation of shipping the Alpha Pad towards the end of the year.

Yes, the Alpha Pad is compatible with every PC game. It has been designed to offer the optimum performance across all gaming genres.

Will it work the xbox one as it runs on Windows 10?
