About my project

Many of you are probably here because you might already know me as a musician, either in N.Y, Vermont, Brussels or Paris. And if you don't know who I am, and somehow got bounced here, double thanks for checking out my begging for cash page ;)
I have been writing songs since the 8th grade. (I think I have probably improved a bit since my first composition "Sandy". I wonder what Sandy is doing now?). Through music I always found a voice to express myself. Sometimes it is the best way, sometimes there just isn't anyone to listen ;). Music is a personal journey and I'm pretty sure music has saved my life in more ways then one. I have always thought that original music is the purest form of expression. For better or worse you are putting yourself out there for all the world to see. I guess thats the beauty of it. The commonality of it all. It's a powerful thing to feel and maybe we need more of that. As corny as it sounds, I do believe in the power of music to bring people together. This album (NOW), will be a culmination of influences, genres and styles that has shaped my musical landscape since I was a wee lad. It's a bit of singer-songwriter, a bit of folk and a touch of my love of bluegrass and blues mixed in. There is a bit of everything in this album. Each song just representing the moment or space I was in when I wrote it. With a couple tunes I wrote over 20 years ago as well.
The Album is called "NOW" named after the title track in the intro video. It's about living in the moment. The only thing that separates us from our ambitions is fear and death. So maybe now is always a good time? Easier said than done, right?.."Yesterday's gone with the wind, tomorrow hasn't even rolled on in, So....let's live right NOW!"

My music is not easy to define as with a lot of original music. These songs mix my love of a few different genres. Be it, folk, blues, bluegrass or a touch of jazz as well.
Some major influences on me (and why..):
- Jimi Hendrix (living breathing music)
- John McLaughlin (beauty within chaos)
- David Grisman (simplicity turned upside down)
- Neil young (poetic genius, honest guitar player)
- Ani DiFranco (percussive guitar goddess)
- T-Monk (all soul all the time)
- Chris Thile (musical prophet)
- David Bowie (vocal madman)
Just to name a few....
With a little help I will be able to help fund, recording, promotion. distribution and help defer the cost of making a video.
I'm really excited and admittedly nervous to share my music with a larger audience...
