About NRI Pulse:
NRIPulse is an Atlanta (Georgia) based Indian-American news publication that is run by a devoted group of immigrant women of color.
While Objective Journalism is our primary mission, we are committed to Building Bridges and increasing Civic Engagement with the mainstream community. We pride ourselves in being a Strong Voice for the communities we serve.
NRI Pulse turns 17!
NRI Pulse turns 17! On our anniversary month, we are turning to crowdfunding to help us do what we do best—bring you the news as it unfolds! The COVID-19 pandemic forced us to shut down our print edition, but your funds can keep our digital editions alive and thriving.
Our digital publication contains a fine balance of Indian-American news, features, perspectives, opinion pieces, business news, health, immigration, fashion, movie reviews, Bollywood, and lots more!!
Why Crowdfunding?
The market share of digital advertising in the Indian American media space is still very low. Print advertisers are still unconvinced about the benefits of website banners and social media advertising. Those who are convinced, use free community social media groups to advertise their events/services and products.
These factors make it imperative for us to turn to our readers for support. Your funds will help us cover our operational expenses for the next 12 months. It will help us pay our writers, and offer more in-depth coverage of issues that matter to you.
No amount is too small. No amount is too large. Help us keep our community’s voice strong.
Many thanks to our well-wishers who have contributed thus far!
