Heartfelt thanks to EVERYBODY who has supported the production of ORION!
As Jimmy "Orion" Ellis said "Success Takes Courage" and it's been brilliant to have you all supporting us along the way.
We now need your help to tak take the film to cinemas. Every single $ pledged will be spent on-screen and will go towards supporting our independent film. Our original goal is only a tiny portion of our total film budget so every $ pledged really does make a difference.
Pick a limited edition perk and back us all the way!
Thanks again,
Jeanie, Sally and Dewi

The rollercoaster rise and tragic fall of the mystery masked man with the voice of a legend
"The next incredible music film will be Jeanie Finlay's
'ORION: The Man Who Would Be King'"
Christopher Campbell - Nonfics.com
ORION: The Man Who Would Be King
tells the story of Jimmy Ellis - an unknown singer plucked from obscurity and thrust into the spotlight as part of a crazy scheme that had him masquerade as Elvis back from the grave.
With a fictional identity from the pages of the best selling novel Orion by Gail Brewer Giorgio, the backing of the legendary birthplace of rock 'n' roll Sun Records and a voice that seemed to be the very twin of Presley's himself, the scheme – concocted in the months after Presley’s death exploded into a cult success - and the “Elvis is alive” myth began.

ORION: The Man Who Would Be King is Jeanie's sixth feature film. She's made films like Sound It Out, about the last remaining independent record in her hometown of Stockton-on-Tees in the North-East of England, Goth Cruise for IFC and Teenland for BBC4. She also made BIFA nominated (best documentary) The Great Hip Hop Hoax for BBC Storyville about Californian hip-hop duo Silibil n' Brains, who were actually students from Scotland, with fake American accents and made up identities.
Recent press for Jeanie's films:

ABOUT US
'Team ORION' is Jeanie Finlay (Director) and Sally Hodgson (Producer of Marketing and Distribution). We've worked together before on one of the first British films to use crowdfunding: SOUND IT OUT. We absolutely loved working together on this film, raising support through IndieGoGo and bringing the film (and stickers and cupcakes) to cinemas. We got the opportunity to meet many of the people who supported us and helped us finish the film - a truly brilliant experience. We hope to do the same with ORION: The Man Who Would be King and hope you'll join us on our journey.
