Help us fight climate change!
We have 2 days left and have $200 left to raise! YOU could be the one to help put us closer to meeting our goal. Please support us and become a part of the journey!
If you'd like to speak with us directly right now about making your personal gift, and the impact your gift will have, call 408 924-1187 or email Kelly at kelly@greenninja.org.
We have a little message for all our fabulous supporters so far. We could not have done it without you!
The Green Ninja Project
is excited to be a part of this years California Climate Ride as a team and
beneficiary. The California Climate Ride is a 320-mile
cycling charity tour that begins in Eureka and ends in San Francisco
with an overall goal of raising awareness about climate change and
supporting environmental non-profit organizations.
The Green Ninja Project is a non profit organization
that aims to inspire youth to take action on climate change and provide
the tools to do something about it. Be a green ninja and help us pedal to fight climate change!
Help support these four working women. Balancing school, work, and training is tough stuff. Your donation will help us meet our $2800 per rider funding to participate. Half of the funds we raise go back to support the Green Ninja Project.
Your Impact
The Green Ninja Project is an educational initiative created to inform the upcoming generation on climate change and inspire them to take action. Collaboration between students of various departments on campus make it happen. The Green Ninja Project provides job opportunities for SJSU students like us to gain professional experience. If you make a leadership gift level of $500 or more you will be having an incredibly important impact in helping us take on this 320 mile cycling challenge. We cannot do this without achieving the fundraising goal, and know that you can claim pride of the accomplishment in helping us reach the finish line.
Meet the women you'll support
Kelly Chang: The fearless captain of the Green Ninja team…..Kelly is the outreach and partnerships coordinator for the Green Ninja Project. She's passionate about getting active, being outside and protecting the environment. The Climate Ride was her way of connecting her friends and family with the outdoors in hopes that they will develop the same appreciation for the environment as she has.
Huong Cheng: A student who just learned to ride a bike at the age of 24…Huong is the creative designer of the Green Ninja Project and a SJSU animation student. Huong joined the climate ride because she wants people to support the Green Ninja Project to educate youth about climate change, but she also hopes to inspire friends and family to take on challenges in life with a can-do attitude.
Ramya Shenoy: A masters student who rode her bike 11 years ago….The last time Ramya rode a bicycle was 11 years ago to pick up groceries for her parents in India. Even with having asthma, she wants to ride 320 miles-pretty incredible! As a female software engineer student at SJSU she hopes to inspire other women to take on the tech world without fear, like a WARRIOR!
Gaby de la Cruz: A student biking to inspire future generations…Gaby is an SJSU meteorology student, so she gets it-climate change is a major challenge and it's at the heart of her studies. She joined our team because she said she needed to be more FEARLESS. She's also a rad climber in case you wanted to know.
