What is PieceDuino?
If you are new to the Maker’s world and do not possess an electrical engineering background, you probably would feel like giving up becoming one. The learning process can be time-consuming and effort-taking, which easily drives away potential Makers.
To reduce the chances of beginners being scared away and to help them set foot into the Maker’s world, our team simplified the hardware components and this will free Beginners from the long and arduous training.
By having PieceDuino decrease work effort for them, they can quickly make practical things and explore more opportunities.
What exactly is PieceDuino about? It is a modularized Arduino and works when stacking together as if you are matching the studs to tubes of lego bricks. No more bread boards! No more wire jumpers! Just stack them up!

Full Shield Compatibility with Arduino
If you prefer the original Arduino size, we also provide the same-size carrier board to reduce hassles. You may choose PieceDuino Modular which functions as a Shield on a full-size Arduino. Otherwise, you may also choose PieceDuino Core as the replacement of a full-size carrier board.

Our team is capable of manufacturing and producing all the modules. We have gone through the prototype-making and improving procedure for three solid cycles. PieceDuino modules can be manufactured and delivered in less than 3 months.

About us
PieceDuino Core Team is consisted of a group of classmates in master program. We share enthusiasm and professional experiences in Interactive Technology and brewed the idea of creating PieceDuino together. We were all once a beginner and a dreamer and couldn't realize our ideas because of the limitation of hardware. The impact was especially devastating during prototype-development and designing. This has motivated us to find the solution to providing Makers(-to-be) easy, effective and efficient resources. Since April 2013, our team members spared time after our day jobs to design, to develop, and to make prototypes. None of us is able to devote fulltime to this project due to financial difficulties. Even though we took a long time creating PieceDuino and ran three solid cycles of prototype-making and testing (which cost more than USD 10K.) Finally the day for mass production is approaching and all of us are not far from working fulltime at what we are most passionate about, the Interactive Technology.
