Hello, my name is David Beauchamp. I am a huge fan of pinball machines from all eras. I have experience with creating my own games and with restoring pinball tables.
I am creating this campaign to start a small business that will take beaten up, run down and neglected Pinball machines and make them "new" again. I cannot stand it, when I go to a local arcade, bar, ect to play a game of pinball and the machines are in such a state of neglect that they might as well not even be on. It saddens me to see these machines wasting away, not being played due to not being properly taken care of. I want to fix that. I want to take these machines in, revive them, raise them from the dead and send them back out into the world, to be enjoyed the way they were meant to be!With your help, I can get the funds to bring in one machine. One is all I need to get started. Your support will help bring back to life, bring back from the dead, machines that are on the brink of being lost. Your funding will help me keep pieces of history alive and entertaining for years and years to come.
Will you lend the Pinball Necromancer the aid he needs?
What We Need & What You Get
- The funds I am asking for will be for the purchase of one table and a few tools I need to insure the machine gets a 100% restoration. (Soldering gun, heat gun, saw horses, new light bulb, flippers, legs, rubber band kits, ect)
- In exchange for your help, I will be giving some pinball related wearables, with our logo that I designed by hand. T-shirts, Hoodies, bumper stickers. For a pinball fan, I find this exciting as there are not that many choices for pinball themed clothing. I will also add your name to our website (under-construction) in our supporters page.

- If I do not get the full funding I am asking for, I can use what I get to still purchase a table to repair. The prices of a used table vary wildly, so I would still be able to get this project going.
Pinball machines suffered a major set back when home game consoles became a reality. There are far less places to play then there used to be many years ago. I just want to take those machines that are sitting in dusty storage lockers and get them humming again. I want to bring them back to the world of the living, to be enjoyed and played by the true pinball fans of the world.
I do have experience with restoring my own personal use table.
This is a 1974 Gottlieb Duotron pinball machine. When I got it, it wasn't 100%. Chimes didn't work, it would end the game after ball 2 instead of 3 and that paint job was in bad shape. You can see below there are large gouges in the cabinet, the paint is yellowing. No good. You can also see the back box is painted solid blue in the second photo. The original art was covered up.

Below is the after photo. The paint is fresh and crisp, metals polished and cleaned.
I got the chimes cleaned up and working, the games plays through all 3 balls now. Brand new bulbs brightened it up. It looks like it just came out of the factory. I repainted the back box with its original art design as well.

The Process:
All Machines that are brought in get taken apart and cleaned to remove the built up grime from years of play and sitting around.
All the mechanics are checked, cleaned, adjusted and replaced if need be.
All rubbers on the machine are replaced along with all light bulbs.
All plastic inserts on the playfield are leveled.
The playfield paint is repaired, lacquered and given multiple layers of wax.
The exterior cabinet is repaired of any gouges and scraps.
The paint is then redone completely to give it that like new look.
New Chrome legs are adding and all other metal is polished to a mirror finish.
Other Ways You Can Help
If you can't contribute monetarily, but still want to help, get the word out for me. Let everyone that cares know that this project is happening!
