Frequently Asked Questions
-
How do I order a Blu-ray or upgrade my DVD to Blu-ray?
We will email all contributors in August to find out whether they would like a DVD or Blu-ray. Everyone who contributes $25 or more will have the option of DVD or Blu-ray. The perks only mention DVD because Blu-ray was a stretch goal we achieved after the start of the campaign and Indiegogo does not allow us to change the perk text once any perks have been claimed. Blu-ray will be the default choice for any contributors we are unable to reach in August.
- Can I get my DVD or Blu-ray autographed?
Yes! We will email all contributors in August to find out their autograph preference. Everyone who contributes $25 or more will have the option of receiving an unsigned DVD or Blu-ray, or one autographed by Scott Schirmer and Brian K. Williams. Autographed will be the default choice for any contributors we are unable to reach in August.
- Are the discs region-free?
Yes, all our DVDs and Blu-rays will be region-free. They will play in any country in the world, and will also work on game systems. They are factory replicated discs, not DVD-r's or BD-r's.

PLANK FACE: A New Horror Film
from Bandit Motion Pictures
After forming Bandit and releasing its first feature, HARVEST LAKE, earlier this year, we decided our second title should be a true horror film for the fans who have supported us for so many years. So we dug deep into our dark souls and conjured PLANK FACE, a dark and disturbing movie about a man who is captured by a wild wood-dwelling family who wants to make him one of their own -- whether he likes it or not! We had a blast making this movie and we're already thinking about sequels. We promise it'll make you squirm, shriek, giggle, and maybe -- just maybe -- make you cry.

By pre-ordering and participating in this campaign, you're not just supporting Plank Face. You're also supporting us as independent filmmakers, making it possible for us to continue making films. In the ever-changing and increasingly corrupt world of movie distribution, it has been direct support from fans that has sustained us over the last few years. We simply can't do it without you, so whether you're a longtime supporter or a you're hearing about us for the first time -- thank you so much for giving our movie a look!

What We Need & What You Get
The unique thing about this campaign is that Plank Face is already made! We decided that the best way to finance your next movie is with profits from your last one. So our fundraising goal is probably a lot smaller than you're used to seeing. But that amount will go to a few key members of our crew for their time and work on the movie, and it will also cover the costs of our Limited Edition DVDs and all the other perks and exclusives in this campaign. Whatever we raise beyond the goal will go toward the production of more Bandit Motion Pictures -- and we already have another one planned to produce this Fall!
Plank Face will begin its festival and special screenings run with a world premiere screening at The Gateway Film Center in Columbus, Ohio, on Saturday, August 27th. Indiegogo contributors will receive their perks in September!
So let's talk about those perks! The big one here is our Plank Face Limited Edition DVD and Limited Edition Blu-ray. These are professionally replicated discs and there are only going to be 1,000 copies of each format. These will be the ONLY hard format releases of Plank Face for at least a full year, after which we hope the movie will end a good festival run and have some overseas distribution deals in the works. These are also the only discs guaranteed to contain the original, uncut version of the film. Like Found and Headless before it, Plank Face features controversial content and will likely be censored in many markets (and probably fully banned in Australia). Here are some other reasons to get excited about this release:

How Do I Order a Blu-ray?
Blu-ray is now available as a result of our contributors reaching our 2nd stretch goal of $16,666! We are not able to edit the original PERK text to reflect this new offering, but if you contribute to the campaign at the $25 level or higher, we will be contacting you in August about your format preference. ALL CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTORS can upgrade their DVDs to Blu-rays, FREE of charge!
Plank Face Trading Cards!
![]()
If you're like us, you collected movie trading cards as a kid. Well, we're bringing them back! Included in every DVD and Blu-ray pre-order are 3 random
Plank Face trading cards! These 2.5" x 3.5" (baseball card size) trading cards are full-color on both sides, featuring movie images on the front and fascinating
Plank Face trivia on the back! And if you want the whole set of 28 cards, you can get them (and a LOT more) at the $50 contribution level or higher.
Plank Face Campaign-Exclusive T-Shirt!
![]()
We also wanted to show you what our campaign-exclusive "Official Backer" T-shirt looks like! This white-on-black T-shirt is available in any size (men's and women's) at the $100 contribution level or higher.
Be an Executive Producer!
We have room for a few more Executive Producer credits on the Plank Face billing block if you contribute at the EP level! This permanently connects your name to the movie wherever the billing block appears -- on posters, trailers, DVD packaging, and more!

More About Brian, Scott & Bandit!
Bandit Motion Pictures LLC was founded in Bloomington, Indiana, by Brian K. Williams and Scott Schirmer in 2016 as a company in which they could collaborate on the development, production, distribution, and licensing of their own independent films. Scott and Brian are dedicated to low and micro-budget filmmaking, working within many different genres but with a frequent emphasis on horror and hard-edged dramas. Producing, directing, cinematography, editing, and marketing are all performed in-house by Brian and Scott at Bandit Motion Pictures, but they also work with other Indiana talent whenever possible. The current company objective is to produce at least two feature films per year, the first being 'Harvest Lake,' which premiered at film festivals in Spring 2016. Their next film, 'Plank Face,' is nearing completion and several other projects are currently in development.
SCOTT SCHIRMER - 'Plank Face' Writer/Producer/Director/Editor
Scott Schirmer studied film theory, video production and screenwriting at Indiana University, where he received a scholarship for his achievements in video art and a university grant to produce short films. He spent five years in film exhibition, managing Bloomington, Indiana’s historic Von Lee Theater, before switching over to publishing and video marketing with the global self-publishing conglomerate Author Solutions, where he worked for ten years. Scott’s first feature was the coming-of-age horror film Found, winner of 15 best picture awards at over 40 film festivals around the world, including Elvira’s Horror Hunt, The International Horror & Sci-Fi Film Festival in Phoenix, The New York City Horror Film Festival, A Night of Horror International Film Festival in Sydney, and the Terror Molins Festival in Molins de Rei. After Found received worldwide distribution in 2013, Scott produced two more features — the cult horror hit Headless with Forbidden Films and Gentleman Monster Productions, and The Legend of Wasco for Viva Pictures. Harvest Lake was his second feature directorial effort and his first producing collaboration with Brian K. Williams.
BRIAN K. WILLIAMS - 'Plank Face' Writer/Producer/Photographer/Composer
Brian K. Williams has spent over twenty years independently studying photography and music. He is also a writer and a storyteller, his writing having appeared in various publications, album covers, and advertisements. Brian’s love of all these pursuits led him to picking up a video camera in 2013 and diving head first into the world of independent cinema. He immediately began producing material, starting with short films and music videos. Then he tackled his first feature film, the crowd pleasing love letter to fans of sexploitation, Time To Kill, which was released in March 2014. The film played all over the world, becoming an underground and genre convention hit. Brian has since collaborated with several filmmakers on different projects, including work as director of photography on The Legend of Wasco for Viva Pictures. He even spent some time in front of the camera in the films Run and Headless. In short time, Brian has made a name for himself in the indie film community and has come to be known for his visually exciting cinematography and aggressive editing style. Brian resides in Bloomington, Indiana, with his wife and son, where he operates the newly formed Bandit Motion Pictures along with Scott Schirmer. Their first co-production is Harvest Lake, which Brian also shot and edited.
