My Name is Tim I grew up in Watts,Compton and South Central Los Angeles.
I have finally decided to tell my story about how hard it was to be me, raised by a single parent in very dangerous, gang, drug, murder, infested citites. The things I had to do and overcome, in order to go to school, play football and attend practices while trying to make it out alive, earn a scholarship for free education and make it as a professional athlete,all while being undersized and in many cases alone. Contributors will help get a story out that needs to be told and seen. This is for athletes and parents with the same struggles. It's for fans of the sport or anybody curious enough to see what young men go through to survive and still accomplish a dream. Its Inspirational and very Educational. If you are clueless to what your talented son has done or is doing as an athlete or young man in the streets, this movie is for you. If you have a daughter that seems to gravitate to these athletes this movie is for you too. It will uncover many things that go on within the streets and athletic lives of young men and women from the ground level to the top floor.It will also uncover the struggles of parenting these young men and women. This movie will also uncover the struggles of a professional athlete trying to make the cut, but the struggle and surrounding people are the same just on a higher level.
What We Need & What You Get
I need $10000 to get the script written. All money will be paid to writer. If I dont reach targeted goal, all money will still still go to writer. I have an excellent writer with alot of industry experience. Her name is CAROLE PARKER who wrote FILLMORE starring SNOOP DOGG. We are very excited for this project, but as you will learn in the movie, most former professional athletes are done wrong and handled inproper, making life after football a nightmare. I am a full time student who just completed his MS in PE/Athletics & Sports Business Administration. I also Have A BFA in Media Production. I have been going to school for the past 10 years and surviving off of financial aid and a small highschool coaching job, while others who are already rich get richer talking about how they cheated after making money cheating. The time is now.
The Impact

This will also help inspire those in a similar situation to continue to fight and prosper and pursue their dream. Also this film will open the eyes of nieve parents, coaches, and friends of the struggling about the participation of a son or daughter growing up in the streets and dealing with each other. Ask yourself as a parent, What is my son or daughter doing at school, at parties, with these athletes, how are they treated and treating each other? what are the coaches like? how do they help? etc
