Powerbomb is the story of an independent wrestler on the verge of breaking into the big time, but he's contemplating leaving it all behind to spend more time with his family. When our wrestler's biggest fan hears the news, he decides to take matters into his own hands to ensure that his champion gets to the top by any means necessary.

Sickening Pictures will be producing the film with the help of TurnStyle Films and the newly formed 1984 Productions. All three production companies are based in Cleveland, Ohio, the heart of the indie wrestling world.

This is a film we feel very passionate about making and need your help to do it! We've even shot a proof of concept to give you an idea of the mood we're chasing.

Yes. Yes we are. And we're working with Absolute Intense Wrestling (AIW), a promotion in Cleveland, OH that's featured the likes of  Kevin Steen, Tyler Black, Bryan Danielson, Johnny Gargano, Candice LeRae, Colt Cabana, Jon Moxley, El Generico, and the Phenomenal AJ Styles to name a few.

What We Need & What You Get

Funds from this campaign will be used toward talent, equipment rental, catering and anything else we need to ensure that this film is the absolute best we can produce. This film will be made no matter what, but the money from this campaign will ensure it meets the utmost quality.

Matthew Chojnacki, Producer

Matthew Chojnacki is known for his work with 1984 Publishing, releasing titles like Alternative Movie Posters: Film Art From the Underground (I & II), Faces of CLE, and Seriously...What Am I Doing Here? Recently, he's started a career in the world of film production with 1984 Productions, producing 24x36: A Movie About Movie Posters , Scream, Queen! My Nightmare on Elm Street, and 30 Years of Garbage: The Garbage Pail Kids Story.
