We have lost the attention of today's youth and even adults to the noise and chatter of the modern world. Our kids are stuck to social media, apps and games; parents are stuck to emails and the hectic schedule of life. Although the importance and immense benefits of Bible reading in our spiritual experience cannot be overstated, the discipline of Bible study has lost its appeal to many Christians. The Bible appears to have essentially fallen to the class of "boring" stuff.
Thankfully games still have our attention. Whether we are playing for fun as a pastime hobby, or we are taking part in a competition, the evolution of mobile devices has made games even more important part of our lives. However, Bible game developers have failed to meet the expectations of lovers of God’s word for a recognized game genre.

Unprecedented
Bible Experience!
Precepts™ offers players a gamified Bible experience that makes the routine of Bible reading fun and interesting. This newly invented Bible game is inspired by the thought of taking the Bible to the place of interest of youths – games.
Precepts™ is officially the Bible’s Game version! Technically speaking, the premise for the Precepts™ game design is that the challenge of attempting to spell Bible words with letter tiles drawn randomly brings to players’ memory Scripture passages that had previously been read.

The First-ever Gospel Sport is Evolving!
Ultimately the goal of this unconventional ministry is the evolution of a novel brand of gospel sport, very similar to the Scrabble Championship that will stimulate and sustain the study of the Bible and help participants to grow in the faith. Find below pictures from a pilot competition – The Precepts™ Maestro’s Treasure Hunt held 2013 in Lagos Nigeria, with the collaboration of the Christian Broadcasting Network CBN engaging 16 Teens Churches in the first-ever Bible Knowledge Competition using Precepts™ to test their Bible intelligence.
The New Precepts™ App.
The concept of the Bible in a game genre received commendation from my friends at its conception and continued support and encouragement through the 6 years of developing the idea and eventual efforts to bring the game to the public. The current version of Precepts™ Crossword Puzzle is a physical box with card-bound board and game pieces.
Pursuant to the intention of taking God’s word to the place of interest of game lovers, developing the electronic version of the game – Precepts™ App – became necessary. This is to make the game accessible to a global audience. The campaign on Indiegogo is to enable friends, family and members of the public who subscribe to the cause contribute towards the actualization of the Precepts™ App project.
In a world that has gone largely digital, a board game in a physical box is obviously out of tune with current trend. The physical board will still be available though, for those who prefer the traditional card-bound board game with game pieces.
The new Precepts™ App will offer lovers of God’s word the opportunity to stay connected to the Bible wherever they are. Precepts™ App will be made available FREE in mobile platforms such as iPhone, iPad, Windows phone and tablet Android phone and tablet.

Precepts™ App Project is estimated at $50,000 USD. These are the present needs of the project.
1. AppBuilding ($32,000) – Developing and porting App to mobile app stores (finished App will be ported to 4 platforms – iOS (phone & ipad), Windows (phone & tablet), Android (phone & tablet) and Web version).
2. Game Design Interface ($8,000) – Setting up office to interface with developer’s dashboard. Also monitoring process and tracking the progress of the project through the period of building the app (this includes equipments and Internet Service for Home team collaboration).
3. Maintenance ($6,000) – Initial debugging of app, maintenance and updates.
4. Promotion ($4,000) – Online promotion of the App.

Risks & Challenges
The risks and challenges associated with this projects are indeed minimal. The physical version of the game has been played severally and proven to be a success even up to Championship levels. For the electronic version we have carefully selected developers through a rigorous process as the e-version will involve artificial intelligence. The selected developer has full understanding of the requirements of the game and has good track records in developing games of similar genre.
Stanley Ohanugo currently holds the global patent for this invention fully registered both with the Nigerian Authorities and World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO). This will also extend to the Apps currently being developed.
