Project Antarctica
My name is Tanvi Pathare. I'm a painter from Florence, Italy and originally from Mumbai, India. After graduating from The Florence Academy of Art in 2012, I decided to move to Florence, to begin my artistic path.
The past 3 years have been spent trying to grow into being a better painter as well as build up a strong base for my artistic career. I work in my private studio in Florence as well as working as a Principal Instructor at The Florence Academy of Art in their Drawing and Painting Program.
Landscape Painting has been a huge part of my passion for painting. I believe traveling to different lands and capturing their beauty enriches a painter's psychological library to a large extent.
My Campaign
Painting in Antarctica has always been a dream. Beauty in nature needs to be captured, specially places that might be lost to human mankind in the not so distant future.
I was inspired by a painter named Edward Seago. He travelled to the Antarctic with the Duke of Edinburg for a month in 1956 and came back with the most stunning landscapes ever recorded of the South Pole.
Budget
The total amount of Budget for my Project is $8300. The cost of the cruise-ship is $5890, the cost of flying to Argentina is $1200 and the cost of making the campaign video was $800. In total , with the 5% Indiegogo commission,.my Budget comes upto $ 8300
If my goal, is not reached, then the funds collected shall go to the creation of my own Studio work.
