QUANTUM VIBE, a story of humanity's future inter-galactic diaspora, was launched on the Web in 2011 and we're ready to print and distribute our seventh volume, QUANTUM VIBE: This Means War Part 1. In this volume, the sprawling space-city known as Bubbleopolis suffers a devastating attack from an unknown quarter, and it's up to our heroes to find out who is making war and put a stop to them.

The story is completed. All that's left is to produce print- and e-book editions.
Printing and shipping physical books is expensive, but advertising on our web page doesn't begin to cover the bills, so we must print and we must ship (no, not that kind of "ship.") And that costs money up front, and that's why we've turned to Indiegogo for funding.
Our plan is to get the books offset-printed by Mixam, a North American printer with a good track record and very competitive pricing. The books will be 7.44" x 9.25" in trim size, and 104 total pages including 96 story pages plus end pages and some other matter. Our minimum goal is to raise $7,000 to print a short run of trade paperbacks and postcards for our backers here, and have enough left over for dinner. But there's more we'd like to do if we can exceed that minimum target.
If response is good enough we plan to add more goodies: stickers, posters, cloissone pins, a hard-cover edition, variant covers. And anyone ordering at the highest-tier levels can get their own one-of-a-kind, hand-drawn (or painted) rendering of their favorite QUANTUM VIBE character(s)!
If we don't reach our goal we will use a print-on-demand printer to produce however many trade paperback copies and postcards get ordered, and mail them out.
Who we are
We are the Brothers Bieser: Scott (cartoonist) and Frank (website/business manager and bon vivant), a pair of crazy Texans who've been producing web-comics under the Big Head Press banner since 2003, beginning with _A Drug War Carol_ (with Susan W. Wells) and the Prometheus award winning _The Probability Broach: The Graphic Novel (with L. Neil Smith).
We're also part of the Free Cosmos Project. (More about that later.)
The Impact
The success of this campaign will weigh greatly on whether the QUANTUM VIBE series will continue. Scott's getting old and is tired of surviving on oatmeal and peanut-butter sandwiches. If this doesn't pan out he'll have to give up his life-long dream of cartooning for a living, and go back to working at call-centers.
Risks & Challenges
The art is done. We've published several books already but this will be the first using this printer. While Mixam comes highly recommended, when working with a printer for the first time, there can be some hiccups, but nothing that should cause more than a few weeks' delay.
Other Ways You Can Help
We know times are challenging for many of us and you might want to contribute but can't swing $25 for a book. That's why we have the lowest perk levels, so you can get some postcards and still be part of the Free Cosmos Project (more about that later).
And if you can't spend anything right now, we understand. Enjoy the story for free on-line, and please share links to this Idiegogo campaign with your friends.
Stretch Goals
After we meet our first goal we have the following stretch goals in mind:
$10,000: The Official Poster for this campaign (work in progress shown below) gets printed in full 18" x 20" glory and shipped in a tube (so no creases!).

$20,000: Hard-back upgrade! A deluxe, "hard-back" edition (with slipcover) becomes an available perk. We'll also throw in some QUANTUM VIBE themed stickers with every physical product (except the single postcards) sent out.
