My name is Nia King and I am a queer mixed-race art activist based in Oakland, California. I run a podcast called We Want the Airwaves where I interview queer and trans artists of color about their lives and their work. Last year, I published a book of my interviews called Queer and Trans Artists of Color featuring artists like Janet Mock, Ryka Aoki, and Julio Salgado.

Since publishing the book of I have interviewed several more political QTPOC artists, including many from demographics that were under-represented in the first book. Please help me publish the second volume so that the next generation of QTPOC artists will have access to the stories of their elders and understand that they are part of an important legacy!
