Remembering Tsegaye Tadesse
It is with deep regret and profound sadness that we announce the tragic loss of our dear colleague Tsegaye Tadesse, who passed away much too early in his life while undergoing medical treatment in Thailand on 12th April 2017. He fought a brave battle with cancer over the past two years.
Our hearts go out to his family. Tsegaye's beautiful spirit will live on in his wife, Yimegnushal, a retired middle school teacher, two sons and a daughter. 59-year- old Tsegaye was a good husband, father, a dear friend, and one of our own. He was a Senior Program Manager in the Amhara region of Ethiopia.
He was a committed agriculturalist supporting Ethiopian poor farmers for over 30 years with his sharp skills, and his truthful, gentle, caring nature. One of his beliefs in life was the importance of being authentic with people - saying what needs to be said “because it’s good for the relationship and for the soul”. We remember his energy fondly and his wide smile that would light up for anyone who met him.
We hope that he rests in peace knowing he did all that he could for his family, colleagues and the thousands of farmers he worked with over the years. The Digital Green family is committed to stand by and support Tsegaye’s family in light of this immense loss.
