Support the Campaign to Finish Building the Nation's 1st Filipino Business Incubator + Retail + Event Space.

Hello,
We're Kultivate Labs, the non-profit behind the UNDISCOVERED SF: Filipino Creative Night Market Festival. Over the course of 3 seasons, UNDISCOVERED SF has captured the imagination and attention of the world of what a world-class Filipino cultural district could look like. We're reaching out to the community once again to complete the NEXT phase in the economic development of the SOMA Pilipinas Cultural District: Republika.
Our new project is a beautiful retail space dedicated to bringing Filipino business back into the heart of SF by showcasing and incubating rotating artisan vendors.
We have the space, the vision, and concrete plans. All we need is a little help to complete the build out of...
Republika SF: Kulture + Trade
The new space will be the permanent home to 3 of UNDSCVRD's most successful vendors and space to incubate 4 more rotating vendors.
Our 3 Permanent Filipino Owned Vendors:
-
Arkipelago Books: 1 of the nation's only Filipino bookstores
-
ASMBLY Hall: Filipino owned clothing store
-
Straight Up Bar & Beverage: Filipino-owned food and beverage catering company

Designed by Award Winning Filipino Architect Primo Orpilla, Co-Founder of Studio O+A and Bay Area Native
We are very fortunate to have an architect of Primo's caliber to work on the design of Republika. Primo's design utilizes custom modular fixtures that can accommodate all types of retail concepts from jewelry, streetwear, house wear and more.
As you move thru the 3,600 sq ft space the sleek modern retail booths will be accompanied by clever touches of Filipino culture. For example, the bar/cafe area operated by Straight-up will look like a modern Sari-Sari store.

Our Ultimate Goal: A Filipino Business Commercial Corridor in the SOMA Pilipinas Cultural District
In the past few years, we've been able to attract and assist the placement of 6 new businesses in our commercial corridor. Republika's pop-up retail incubator model will help us accelerate the growth of new businesses in SOMA Pilipinas by giving them low-cost retail space, paired with our SEED Accelerator program to grow their business and prepare them for long-term leases in the cultural district.
