What is Revelry?
Revelry Brewing Company is Charleston's newest addition to the rapidly growing craft beer scene. Three guys came together, each with unique strengths and experience, with a plan to produce beer that takes an experimental approach to style with an emphasis on consumer education. We've worked hard to achieve this dream for over 2 years, invested all our spare time and savings and managed to obtain a government backed SBA loan (holy hell, that was difficult). Now, we have an excellent indoor/outdoor venue near downtown Charleston, a functioning 10BBL brewhouse, and are blessed to have some awesome friends and family that have helped us along the way!

Beer isn't just yellow fizz
anymore and today's consumer is more discerning and engaged in their
selections. We plan to blur the lines with respect to established styles
and brewing methods and provide an educational platform in which even the most
novice beer drinker feels comfortable discussing beer. We hope our
patrons leave the brewery with a new found appreciation and knowledge for what
craft beer options exist in today's market.
However, opening a brewery comes with a hefty price tag. Because we have done this all on our own (to this point) through our savings and a small business loan, we are left with a longer list of necessities than we have cash to support. We hope that any of you that are passionate about beer and pushing the limits of what is available in your community will consider becoming a supporter of this special cause. We are a brewery for the community with intention of being a platform for advocacy, fundraising (non-profit), collaboration and education.
Your contributions will not only validate our mission and your desire for more options, it'll ultimately help us reach our goal of being an anchor in the Charleston area and supporter of the "little guy with big ideas!"

What We Need & Why
For a brewery to function through the logistical process of wort in, beer out, certain equipment is needed to facilitate a smooth process while maintaining high quality standards. With your help, we plan to purchase the following additional equipment:
DME 4-head Keg washer/Filler ($8,000 to $12,000): http://www.premierstainless.com/kegwashers.html (example keg washers)
12'X17' Distribution Cooler
($8,000 to $12,000): http://www.jesrestaurantequipment.com/product.asp?itemid=47496&utm_source=googleshopping&gclid=CJnByIjb5sACFYMF7Aod9koA1w (example cooler)
Misc. Lab Equipment ($1,000
to $3,000): http://brewingscience.com/supplies_guide.htm (example items)
In order for us to effectively supply the greater Charleston area with our brews, we need to invest in a large storage cooler to house our beer for distribution pick up. Without a large cooler, we won't be able keep our distributed kegs cold, thus affecting the quality of our beer that gets distributed. We also need to be able to clean and fill kegs fast enough to get our beer to market. If we don't have the proper equipment to clean and fill our kegs, there is a greater chance of infected beer. Without these items, our capacity to put our delicious beer into your favorite local watering hole will be diminished.
Our secondary goal is to have a laboratory dedicated to yeast storage and propagation in an effort to provide a quality product while pursuing experimental endeavors. If we are fortunate enough to exceed our fundraising goal, any additional funds will be spent on the items below:
Microscope
Autoclave
Hemocytometer
CO2 tester
Dedicated lab Freezer
The Impact
While these items may not seem very exciting, they are critical for proper brewery function and quality control. Your investment in Revelry will help ensure that we are able to produce a quality product and provide more local options for you to enjoy at your favorite watering hole.
This campaign is intended to
be transparent and we are willing to answer any questions you may have as to
why we might need these items or a clearer understanding of what they do and
how it impacts the brewery and its product.

Other Ways You Can Help
We know that cash isn't the only way to get where we are going; if you have any skills and extra time on your hands, we'd love to know how you may be able to help us in other ways around the brewery. Every day there's something new going in or up and we pay handsomely in beer and pizza should you want to get your hands dirty with us!
You can also help by getting
the word out about our campaign to your friends, colleagues and loved ones via
social media platforms. If everyone is able to share this campaign with
just a few people, we feel confident that we can reach many, many people that
may be interested in donating to the cause.
