The WeWALK Movement is a fundraising project initiated by YGA (Young Guru Academy), an international nonprofit organization.
YGA's mission is to cultivate competent, socially conscious young leaders who innovate new solutions to society's biggest problems. Together, YGA leaders have designed the world's most revolutionary smart cane, WeWALK.
YGA has over 10 years of expertise designing new technologies for the visually impaired and have won multiple global awards including the Edison Awards, MWC Awards by GSMA and the MIT Social Innovation of the Year. YGA has also been provided with support from Vestel, utilizing "Vestel City" (the largest manufacturing facility in Europe) in order to develop and mass-produce WeWALK.

In fact, low-income level constitutes a majority of the visually impaired. Also considering such fact, the affordability to WeWALK can be challenging to some.
With your support, we aim to use all funding to change the current status quo, making the lives of those who are blind or visual impaired safer and more convenient with the supportive network of hospitals and organizations to deliver advanced assistive technology to those in need.

What is WeWALK Movement?
The WeWALK Movement is a fundraising project initiated by YGA with the aim to make an impact in assistive technology with WeWALK Smart Cane Incubation for the visually impaired. Alone they can do so little, together we can do so much. Donate or pre-order for yourself or a loved one.
What is WeWALK Smart Cane?
WeWALK smart cane is an innovative smart white cane designed for the visually impaired. It's built with Alexa and works with other third-party apps such as Google Maps, Uber, Lyft. With an open platform available to developers, endless practical skills can be developed overtime catering to specific user needs as an innovative and expandable smart cane.
Why are you crowdfunding?
We funded WeWALK at Arikovani which is crowdfunding platform in Turkey. WeWALK raised over $94,000 within 48 hours. The campaign set a track record for Arikovani and WeWALK team is growing it's reach to more countries and expand the reach of the WeWALK movement and continuation of advancing the WeWALK smart cane to those in need.

What WeWALK features are available?
Obstacle detection, smartphone integration, and open platform for new skills to build on.
What is the battery life of WeWALK?
Up to 5 days ( Average daily usage is 4 hours). The micro USB input, which is at the narrow side of the device, is used to charge the battery of your WeWALK.
Does it have an app? Which phones does it work with?
WeWalk Smart Cane runs on Android and iOS-based mobile phones. Android-based devices should have the software version 5.0 or later, iOS-based devices require OS version 10 or later.

What are the recommended ages?
Anyone who is capable of using a white cane between the age of 15 to 60 years old but not subject exclusively to the range.
Is it safe?
WeWALK helps visually disabled users to sense obstacles at head level, to improve safety. But improper use of a white cane by people who are incapable of using it could cause some potential hazards.

When does shipping begin?
WeWALK Smart Cane will begin shipping in December 2018. Orders will be shipped sequentially

What is your refund policy after campaign conclusion?
Refunds are processed on a case-by-case basis; at some point, we will need to lock refunds in order to go into production & shipment. We will not be able to refund orders once they've shipped.
What is your return/exchange policy?
Return and exchange are processed on a case-by-case basis. If you find your WeWALK defective and unable to operate as expected, please contact support@wewalk.io. We will get back to you timely with complimentary technical support.
