"I would like, if I may, to take you on a strange journey…"
Richard O’Brien’s Rocky Horror Show broke all the rules. Subversive and transgressive, it skewered all conventions of heteronormativity and traditional gender roles. It smashed together the tropes of pulp science fiction with the free-wheeling philosophy of the 60’s and 70’s and the aesthetic of Glam rock. It even inspired people to reject an audience’s typically passive role, and make themselves part of the show.
We want to take this even further, to break more rules and upend more conventions, and we’ve secured the licence from the Rocky Horror Company to do it:
We want to run a 360 degree live-action Rocky Horror roleplay experience from 14-18 February 2018.
For just a few days, a beautiful Polish castle will be transformed into the decadent palace of the mad doctor Frank-N-Furter, and our participants will be transformed into the scheming Transylvanians, strange experiments, hapless guests and the visitors from beyond the stars who will live, sleep, eat, sing, dance and party there.
The Master Plan, Revealed at Last
- We want to create a version of the Rocky Horror Show world that you can live in.
- We want to take you on a strange journey... of alien adventures, Hollywood magic and outrageous performance.
- We want to give you the alibi to explore and challenge your preconceptions about yourself and society.
- We want to give you an experience that is both safe and transgressive, exciting and transformative, something that will take you truly out of this world!
- There will be a call to adventure, there will be shivers of anticipation, there will be fishnet.
Try It, You Just Might Like It:
- If you love the Rocky Horror Show.
- If you love old B-movies and B-movie tropes.
- If you long to uncover maddening mystery and have a mind-expanding adventure.
- If you ache for the opportunity to take part in a musical.
- If you want Charles Atlas sized drama and a story with real, galactic stakes.

"Don't dream it, BE IT!"
Larp is a co-operative form of make-believe. It sits somewhere between improvisational theatre and a grown-up playground game of ‘let’s pretend’ with higher production values. During a larp, you have the opportunity to be someone else, create their reality, their dreams, their loves, hopes and fears and through this learn more about yourself.
Larp works and larp changes lives. Our worlds create safe spaces for resisting and pushing back against limiting assumptions based on heteronormativity, gender, racism or ableism. In our worlds, people can be who they want to be. And after days of being free to play with new identities, they come away with fresh insights into who they are and who they could be.
You don’t need to have any experience with larp to play. You just need to show up, ready to become a part of the story. Our character coaches, combined with workshops before and during the event, will ensure you have the preparation and support you need.

"It's one of The Master’s affairs."
In our story, Frank-N-Furter has convinced an Ed-Wood-Jr-like Hollywood producer to let him live out his dreams of being Fay Wray by playing the lead in a movie. Not to be outdone, Riff Raff and Magenta have commissioned their own movie, and now the two competing film crews must shoot at the castle at the same time. To make matters more… interesting, a whole range of visitors have their own reasons to be at the castle.
As a participant, you will enter Frank-N-Furter’s castle as a pre-designed character and take part in whatever part of the chaos catches your fancy: you can help to make a B-movie, go on a ray gun rampage or experiment with mad science in a world where transvestite aliens meet all American heroes and battle creatures from beyond the stars.
The outcome of the events played out this weekend will be determined by you, the participant:
Will those B-movies ever get finished?
Will the cheerleader ever pluck up the courage to tell the cheer captain that she loves her?
Will things ever go back to how they were before?
We don't know! But we intend to find out.
What you decide to do matters and may even shape the future of planet Earth for generations to come!
You don’t need to have any prior experience with larp to play. Everything you’ll need to know to play the game will be workshopped before the game starts, and all the information can be found in The Player’s Guide, which is available at this link.

"Oh Brad, I’m frightened!"
We've set our initial funding goal for €80 000. This will allow us to run the Rocky Horror Larp from February 14th to 18th in 2018. There are up to 120 spots for the larp, and we’re hoping to fill them all.

If we raise more than €80 000 through the campaign, we have a number of stretch goals that’ll go towards making the event even more spectacular.

"There’s a light over at the Frankenstein Place!"
Moszna Castle is one of the jewels of Upper Silesia. The building itself is a baroque affair with exactly 99 soaring turrets. The grounds surrounding the castle are no less impressive, featuring a sprawling park and woodland, canals, a small pond and island reachable by bridge.
The palace was originally built in the 17th century, but ancient cellars discovered beneath the gardens suggest an even older and more mysterious history.
The castle’s more recent history is equally colourful. Before it began operating as the comfortable hotel it does today, the castle was used as a sanitarium.
There is no reason to believe that it is haunted.

Say! Any of you guys know how to Madison?
- What is included in the price of the ticket?
Depending on your ticket tier this will range from bed in a shared room in our wonderful location to a jaw-dropping suite. All tickets include three delicious meals a day from Wednesday evening to Sunday morning. Action packed days and evenings and nights of Rocky Horror action, including parties, aliens, secret agents, government scientists, making movie magic, high school drama, dancing, and music. A pre-written character for you to play at the larp, plus pre-larp workshops to help you get into character. Carefully written plots and story created by an award winning team. A cast of extras to help bring the world to life, and an epic after party.
- Can I be Frank? Or Riff Raff? Or Magenta? Or…
We’re hoping that a lot of people will want to play one of the canon characters from the musical. For those who do want to take on one of these well loved roles we will ask for a short audition video and we will use this to help us with our casting.
But fear not, every character in the larp will be tied to and based on one of these characters. So even if you don’t get to play Frank, you will be playing a character with enough of Frank in them to get the full experience.
- What will I need to bring?
Clothing and props that are suitable for the character you will be playing, some money for alcoholic drinks (if you want them.) There is also an option to hire or order a made-to-measure costume from us, to pick up at the castle, then all you’ll need is a trunk for your make-up and stockings.
- What if you sell out? Will there be other dates?
We only have one Rocky Horror larp planned. We suggest you get your tickets early.
- Can I buy two tickets with one account?
You can only buy one perk per transaction, though you can come back to buy another if you want more than one. Planning to attend with a friend? Consider our range of suites and experience the event together in luxurious comfort.
- Can I room with my friends?
We will always do our best to accommodate requests for players to room together. We will ensure that there are gender segregated rooms for players who prefer this.
You must be at least 18 years old to attend the Rocky Horror Larp.
- Can you accommodate vegetarian/vegan/gluten-free/etc diets?
The food on offer will be a buffet style. All food will be clearly labelled. We will ensure that any dietary requirements are accommodated.
- Will there be a Rocky Horror Larp in the US?
At this time there is only one Rocky Horror larp planned and it is in Poland, Europe.
- Will there be Add-Ons? What about this Frank-N-Bus?
There will be a bus add-on, for transportation to and from Wroclaw Airport and Moszna Castle (€60). There will also be an add-on for made-to-measure costume rental (€180) and for costume purchase (€600).
- What if you don't get enough participants?
For the larp to work, we need a certain number of participants. If we don’t have enough people who want to come and spend a weekend with us exploring this exciting and transgressive world then the money that has been pledged in the campaign will not be withdrawn from your accounts. We’ll only take your money if we reach our €80,000 goal and the larp is guaranteed to go ahead.
- What if I need to cancel?
If you can find a replacement player to take and pay for your spot you will be refunded the entire amount of the ticket price, minus €100.
If you cannot find another player to take your spot and we can not find another player from our waiting list, then you will not be refunded your ticket.
