The San Diego Workers Center is a unique place where day laborers and household workers come together to seek work, get protection for their rights, and learn ways to become more professional in the work they do.  They are hard working men and women who are reliable, dedicated to supporting their families and active contributors to our community.  The center brings people together to get jobs done: painting, gardening, roofing, moving, carpentry, plumbing, construction,  as well as house cleaning and caring for children and the elderly.
Our mission is to achieve full human rights for day laborers and household workers, including a living wage, equal pay and treatment before the law, and freedom from harassment based on religion, color or creed.
We are in the beginning stages and we need your help in order to do our outreach work among our workers and employers.  Your dollars will help our organizers hook up workers with jobs, conduct health and safety workshops, defend workers' rights, and teach English and other skills that make for a healthy and productive work force.  Your contribution is tax free!
