Hi, my name is Levon Abgaryan. You might know me from ONEArmenia’s short film about me, called
LEVON: A WONDROUS LIFE. I’m a rollerblader and am pretty well known here in Yerevan.
Right now I am dealing with a extremely difficult situation because my home is being foreclosed. I am reaching out to the world through this campaign because I am in serious need of help.
What Happened?
In 2010, I mortgaged my apartment in order to loan $70,000 to a friend who wanted to start a business. Even though he paid off $30,000 of his debt, he recently left Armenia and is totally unreachable. He left $40,000 unpaid and now the bank is planning to auction off my home with a starting bid of $40,000.

at this link. My address is on the first page of the Excel file and is labeled as #8 : Komitas 30, Apartment 49. Note that the auction prices are in Armenian drams.
How Can You Help?
Since this is an auction, I need about a $10,000 cushion on top of the $40,000 in order to be able to definitely buy back the apartment. I need your help to pay this $50,000 sum so that I don’t end up on the street. Any amount that you can give, great or small, is a huge help--so is your spreading the news about this to your friends and family over e-mail, Twitter and on Facebook.
