SAY UNCLE
LIE, CHEAT, MUDER AND STEAL, BUT NEVER FORGET YOUR FAMILY
A black comedy about skewed morals and strong family values
Four murderous thieves have the perfect plan to rip off the city's most ruthless crime boss, but mistrust tears the gang apart after their leader admits he's not the family guy he seems.
The hardest-working thief you ever met, Steve has this heist planned to the smallest detail, but more importantly, he’s got the perfect guys, three professional crooks who are the best in the business at what they do.
The hardest-working thief you ever met, Steve has this heist planned to the smallest detail, but more importantly, he’s got the perfect guys, three professional crooks who are the best in the business at what they do.
And they better be, because they’re going up against the meanest crime boss in three states, the sadistic Carlito, whose briefcase holds the key to a fortune. It’s hidden deep in the labyrinth of his old warehouse, but Steve and his guys took a hostage and beat the location out of him. It was the top-off to a week of bonding, and by the afternoon of the big job they almost feel like a family. It’s going exactly as Steve planned.
Then he realizes that while working so hard to plan it all, he’s forgotten one crucial detail, and suddenly everything begins falling apart.

SAY UNCLE It's a film about family, even if it's too tough to admit it.
THE PROJECT
This is the first fully independent film by three former Montana film students. Written and produced by Nathan Whitmont, directed by Kenneth Billington and photographed by Blaine Dunkley, SAY UNCLE features a slew of top Montana film and theater talent and was shot in full HD on Canon 5D mark II and 7D cameras through Canon L series lenses.
THE SITUATION
The movie is shot and on the editor's desk; the sound designer is on contract; the title sequence guy is lined up. The shoot went great - we were on schedule to the minute and everyone had a blast. Nearly the entire cast and crew commented it was the most professional and enjoyable film shoot they'd ever worked on.
WHAT WE NEED
Shooting the film on one location saved headaches, time and money. Everyone involved volunteered their talents, equipment, location and props. But now we need cold hard cash for things we can't get from the basement or from our friend's big hearts: capital for serious promotion of the film, including web site fees, advertising, design and printing costs, contest and festival entrance fees and offsetting the costs of festival attendance.
THE IMPACT
This film drew together an incredible group of people who spent five days crammed in an old granary not fit to hold a dog fight in, and by the end of it were almost like a little family. Almost 30 people put their hard work and talents into this film, and the best way we know to pay them back is to promote their work. The more this film is seen, the more it brings attention to everyone of these great young artists, all of whom are working hard to make their mark. We've made a great product, now we want to use this film as much as we can to provide more opportunities for our friends and family to get work, and to be seen and heard.
