Who we are
In many parts of the world, citizens do not have relevant real time information to avoid being victims of crime, natural disasters or dangerous incidents; nor the tools to help avoid these risks or data to predict dangerous events. Alértux is a mobile and web app based in El Salvador (one of the most violents and vulnerable countries in the world) designed to solve these issues.
Through Alértux, citizens can be aware of dangerous places at the right time. The platform gathers and aggregates data points including geolocation, timeframes and other keywords, potentially being able to discover patterns and predict behavior. Stakeholders are motivated to take responsibilities and be part of solutions to help the affected citizens.

We believe having a strong sense of community is the foundation for a safer and more friendly living environment. Every citizen has something valuable to share at any given moment, no matter if it is as simple as clearing a fallen tree branch from blocking the road or as dangerous as reporting a shooting on the streets. By letting communities know about these events, it not only aids those in need, but it empowers citizens to help, inspire others, and even save lives. This is ultimately fostering a sense of security and assurance that there is always someone willing to share their light.

En muchos lugares del mundo, los ciudadanos no tienen la información relevante en tiempo real para evitar ser víctimas del crimen, desastres naturales o incidentes peligrosos; como tampoco herramientas para colaborar en la mitigación de estos riesgos. Alértux es una aplicación móvil y web fundada en El Salvador y diseñada para resolver estos problemas.
A través de Alértux, los ciudadanos pueden descubrir tiempos y lugares peligrosos con alertas en tiempo real. Los datos se agregan y organizan con geolocalización, horas y palabras clave, pudiendo ser capaces de descubrir patrones y predecir la actividad. Los usuarios están motivados a tomar acción y ser parte de soluciones para ayudar a los afectados.

Creemos que un fuerte sentido de comunidad es la base para un ambiente de vida seguro y amigable. Cada ciudadano tiene algo valioso para compartir en cualquier momento dado, sin importar si es algo como levantar una rama que bloquea una calle o tan grave como reportar un crimen. Al permitir que la comunidad conozca estos datos, no sólo ayuda a los necesitados, sino que anima a los ciudadanos a apoyar, inspirar a otros e incluso salvar vidas. A la larga, la práctica de estas costumbres fomenta una sensación de seguridad y certeza que siempre hay alguien dispuesto a compartir su luz.
