It's Christmas time in a quaint rural town where a chorus of screams drowns out the holiday carols. Krampus is on the loose and he's making up for lost time by killing his naughty prey. As Krampus is "soul searching", three urban explorers in all of their hotness, go on an adventure and break into a long shutdown theme park, Santa Land. Unwittingly they find themselves at the scene of the crime where Krampus takes his prey. It's also where the real live Santa has retired. Now Santa, a crotchety biker-wannabe coping with his faded magical powers, is forced to ally himself with these chicks. The fate of the world is riding on their combination of wits, magic and spunk, to take down Krampus once and for all. If they fail, Krampus will kill Christmas and all of the naughty the world over. What's happening to our Christmas? Christmas just hasn’t been the same and you’ve known it for years. A dark force has been creeping in on your holiday. Black Friday, Cyber Christmas shopping, sentiments on cardboard… no, no, it's far worse than that. The North Pole has been foreclosed. Santa has retired to SoCal, leaving the holiday to the faker Santas in malls. We know what you’re thinking, that doesn’t sound so bad? Well Christmas as you know it is about to get far more sinister because of Santa’s little known business partner… KRAMPUS... The Devil of Christmas Krampus has been part of the Christmas tradition forever, something that our American History books and traditions conveniently left out. He's the one that takes care of those on that growing naughty list, not Santa. Or perhaps you've already heard of Krampus and was hoping he was just a rumor? You've slept well for decades because long ago Santa put him on ice. This year however Krampus is FREE. And no one is safe, because no one can ever say they aren’t just a little naughty every now and then. Can you? Who are the Slay Belles:

In Slay Belles, The Adventure Girls (YouTube hit Hannah Minx and Susan Slaughter of Syfy’s Ghost Hunters International) are urban explorers who love to film themselves exploring abandoned and off-limits places. It’s Christmas Eve and in celebration of the season they break into Santa Land, a long closed theme park on the verge of being demolished. It's breaking and entering as usual except this time they drag along their friend (Kristina Klebe of Rob Zombie’s Halloween) who loves Christmas but hates breaking rules.

Their naughty adventure is rudely interrupted by the terrifying Krampus (Joel Hebner), a vicious beast with long claws and sharp teeth (and... exceptionally endowed). He's hellbent on reminding the world why naughty children fear the darkness of Christmas night and why men should hide their wives. That is, until Santa Claus swoops in and saves them from Krampus' wrath just in the St. Nick of time.

It's hard for the girls to accept that this wannabe badass biker is the retired Santa Claus in the flesh. However, with Christmas being just a few hours away, they're going to need all the help they can get to save the holiday.

Harnessing their kickassness, with the help of Santa's magic and some weird locals (Teen Wolf’s Stephen Lunsford and Night Court’s Richard Moll), The Adventure Girls band together to put Krampus back on ice. If they don't, and Krampus gets his claws on that sleigh, coal will be the least of everyone’s problems on Christmas Day.

Slay Belles is an independent Horror Comedy feature whose goal is to launch the career of the legendary beast Krampus, a manifestation of the dark side of Christmas traditions. For ages, Krampus has been the beast designated to punish the naughty by dragging them to hell. For some reason our traditions have buried this charming character. By drawing upon the Krampus mythology, Slay Belles unleashes the sinister secret history of Christmas upon the world, bringing Krampus back to the forefront of the Christmas scene where he belongs.

With the Krampus myth enjoying a resurgence across the world, now is the perfect time to explore the dark side of Christmas. And it is always the right time to support independent film, making possible incredible stories that would otherwise be lost in the twists and turns of big budget filmmaking.

Krampus is an ancient Yuletide figure who serves as the malicious partner to Santa Claus. Santa rewards good children while the demon-like Krampus was feared by wicked and naughty children, who he would punish and devour. Goat-like, horned, and simply terrifying, Krampus was famous for his rattling chains and long red tongue. The luckiest of the children he punished would be beaten with a switch, others would be thrown into his basket and carried off to Hell.

The Krampus myth dates back even before the creation of Christmas itself, but for hundreds of years the two have been entwined, with Krampus serving as a sinister shadow to the festive season. In the 20th century the Krampus myth was suppressed and almost forgotten, but it has enjoyed a resurgence in recent years, and Slay Belles hopes to become a part of Krampus' triumphant return to the Christmas season.

Today (and for many decades) the Eastern European, German and Norwegian cultures celebrate him with a parade every December 6th. On this day, over a dozen Krampus festivals are held in North America as well, including events in Dallas, Los Angeles and Toronto.

Stretch goals:

Phase 1

GOAL: $30,000
This will fund the 4 days of pickups shots required to finish the film. Actors, Camera gear, Crew, Locations, Food, Insurance, and more Special FX. The first thing that needs to happen is to finish filming the scenes that we were not able to shoot during the principal photography stage.Post production, Editing, Music licensing, Score, VFX, color timing, and the final mix. Making DCPs, and deliverables.

Phase 2

Stretch Goal: $50,000

MORE KILLS...MORE KRAMPUS MORE FX! with a bit more we can afford to kill a few more people and make this film even bloodier.

Phase 3

8 city theatrical Tour. Renting theaters, securing transportation, and throwing a dark Christmas costume party screening event that YOU can attend.
