SPOON™ is a fine-Art and slow fashion photography magazine originally created in 1996, first on the Internet and then printed for the first time the same year. After 7 issues, We left the company when the commercial protocol started to conflict with our creative goals... We recently owned back the SPOON magazine trademark and right away, issue 01 of the new edition was born in early 2014.

SPOON new edition is not using the common distribution networks. Why?
We are not dispatching the magazine through usual magazines distributor for many reasons, and the main one is that, working with a distributor would force us to print out an outstanding amount of magazines, from which approximatively 60% would surely go to waste.
Nowadays that is economically, ecologically a complete nonsense. We refuse to do that!
The one copy we print is the one for you!
We have chosen to print digitally this magazine, that means we print only the number of issues we need to print, that way we are sure there is no waste of printed copies : and no trees are beeing cut for nothing! Only this technology allows us to continue to publish printed magazines with an ethical behavior.

Because of our ad-free policy we just need copies for our readers, and fans : no fuss, no fluff, no waste at all! That is part of what we call "slow fashion".
