Welcome
Hello,
My name is Joseph Ricker.
In 1998, I began a quest for history. After seeing the movie "Titanic" (with a pitch from my younger sister) I thought it would be an amazing feat to bring Titanic's story into the 21st Century through a newbuild named "Titan" - the world's largest ocean liner.
After trials and tribulations with the concept, in 2008 I returned to the idea with a renewed resolve to transform the project as a non-profit corporation, which I successfully accomplished in August of that year. It was my goal that it is indeed possible to bring positive impacts in our world today from such tragedy so long ago.
My focus is to bring health, and life, to many millions long-term of the world's sick and needy children through Titan - still envisioned as the world's largest ocean liner. With the massive popularity of Titanic's story encapsulated within Titan, it is through the successful entry into operations of Titan as a liner for the ages, traveling the world as a vessel of hope, the revenue generated from this most historic of vessels will certainly look to positively impact the goals set forth by the Foundation to help these children.
We are seeking an initial $50,000 in funding to increase our exposure online through the re-development of our corporate website at www.sstitan.org as a destination for today's Titanic enthusiasts, as well as the traveling public, who look to experience Titanic, while helping the children with their support.
Funding will also be directed towards increasing our Facebook presence as well, as we look to achieve our goal of at least 10 million supporters within the next 3 years.
The Impact
Your contribution will make a huge difference as we work towards our historic goal.
It will help cultivate a continued growing interest in our project through our corporate site and on Facebook.
It will serve to allow our organization to pursue other goals as well, including beginning serious negotiations with Harland & Wolff, Ltd, - the original designer and builder of Titanic herself, to design Titan, which they have submitted a proposal to do.
And it will change our world, long-term, for the better. With the completion of Titan and her entry into service, the SS Titan Foundation will become one of the world's most profitable and influential non-profits within just a few short years, whose impact will be immediate.
You can help make a big difference in making this a reality with your contribution.
Other Ways You Can Help
Our platform at www.facebook.com/sstitan is continuously growing, but you can help spread the word to all of your friends. Remember, we are looking at at least 10 million contributing supporters long-term to achieve our goals.
