THE LIFE AND TIMES OF A DEAD BOY 

Some of you might wonder: A film on Stiv Bators? Or even: Who the f*ck was Stiv Bators?

And that's precisely why we're doing this, to show the world who Stiv was (besides being the singer of the Dead Boys, The Wanderers and The Lords of The New Church) and finally get to know the real man behind the myth.

And for that it is paramount we once again obtain your collaboration in order to make this the best film we've made so far.

Production for "STIV" started in London last November where we met up with The Lords' Dave Tregunna, Danny Fury and Grant Fleming, Sigue Sigue Sputnik's Neal X, author Nina Antonia and photographer David Arnoff. All of whom gave us great interviews and kickstarted Chip Baker Films' latest adventure.

With your help we'll shoot the rest of the interviews we have planned and license all the materials necessary to make this film a reality. 

Why do we need $30,000? Mainly because we have to interview the likes of Jimmy Zero, Johnny Blitz, Cheetah Chrome, Frank Secich, Eddy Best, Cynthia Ross, Nicky Turner, David Quinton Steinberg, Genya Ravan and hopefully others like Bebe Buell, John Waters or Iggy Pop?Then we'll go back to England to resume the interviews over there before we end the shoot in Paris, France.

Once all the interviews are in the can we'll use the rest of the funds to license music rights, footage and photography. As some of you may know that's where the majority of the budget goes. Licensing fees are really expensive and the same applies to music and publishing rights. 

Once we have everything we need, we'll edit the film and finish the post production process (sound mix, colour grading, etc) before we deliver the final cut plus artwork and package design to the distributors.

We have assembled a great team to help us make the film so that we can produce the movie to the very highest of feature documentary standards.

If for whatever reason we don't meet our goal with this campaign, have no doubt that we'll persevere and make the most out of what we obtain to deliver the best possible film to you just as we did in the past with Looking for Johnny and Sad Vacation.
