Writers in Armenian language, especially in Diaspora need your support.

Our first campaign (October 2013) raised US$ 1.005. Five Armenian writers living in Syria received the symbolic financial support. The feedback and the barrage of comments was overwhelming and absolutely positive. We thank the donors who expressed high level of awareness and commitment.

The effort was well publicized in the Armenian media, including several articles and an explanatory interview with Civilnet

The campaign is aimed at supporting writers in troubled locations, where many are deprived of their regular income sources. Nevertheless, they do not stop from writing and enlightening us. They have very high understanding of their mission. Their contribution could be sometimes seen as the only logical and hopeful thing happening in an otherwise war ridden reality.

Let us support them financially. Through their writings we would be able to know more about what is happening, we will feel more engaged with the people and locations they describe, and, most of all, we will contribute in opening a window of hope for the writers and the readers alike. This is a better way of acknowledging their contribution than just clicking "Like" on their postings. It will encourage them to be more dedicated and inquisitive in their noble work.

If you are not able to financially contribute, please share this campaign with others. Let us start a whole new chain reaction for acknowledging the value of Armenian Diaspora writers, especially those living in difficult locations.
