Inamorata is a tale about love, loss, and why keeping our freedom to be ourselves is so important.
Lili and Emma are a same-sex couple living in the mid-1960s. Lili, a secretary, has dated men previously, so even those who know she is with Emma think it would be easier for her to conform to the standards set by society. Emma, a schoolteacher, has much more to lose than Lili, if anyone were to find out they were together. Their friends make up a colorful cast of women all loving other women and hiding who they are, for various reasons.
All it takes is one mistake to spiral Lili and Emma's relationship out of control and set in motion a path of destruction of Shakespearean tragedy proportions.
We Need YOUR Help!
Making a period piece is incredibly costly. We will use the money donated to help pay for:
- Art - Making our film world look authentically like the 1960s - costumes - set pieces - props
- Actors - bringing and housing our cast from NYC to Ohio
- Food - to feed our cast and crew during our 7-8 days of shooting
- Camera, Grip and Electric, and other production equipment costs
