In the form of a 15-minute short film, Swine portrays a young woman who undergoes a metaphysical transformation which sets her on a path of vengeance while she reconciles with the psychological horror of womanhood.

This is a passion project about girlhood through an exploration of what becomes of a young woman when forced to confront the patriarchy and religious order.

It’s a complex story that challenges large ideas. It’s time to share a story which explores the nuances of modern feminism.

Budget

One of the more challenging aspects of making your first film is funding it. Although we are students and this film is our final undergraduate project, we do not receive funding through the school. The responsibility is solely placed on us to raise any funding needed. We must rely on generous donors and grants to bring our creative vision to life. Unlike established filmmakers with access to substantial budgets and industry support, student filmmakers often face an uphill battle when seeking financial backing for their projects.

To secure funding, we are reaching out to family and friends for support as we await grant approval that would be invaluable but is not guaranteed.
