Who is Switchblade 3?
Spanning over three continents - Australia, Japan and America - Switchblade 3 consists of Brad Hayman (upright bass), Eitaro Sako (guitar) and three-time Grammy winning drummer, Bernie Dresel. Two years ago, these three cats united to create a powerhouse trio with a big band sound. With a motto of, "Get More Crazy," Switchblade 3 embodies jazz, blues, swing, latin, and balls-out rock 'n roll, from sublime to ridiculous.
What We Need & What You Get
The album is already recorded and now it needs to be mixed, mastered and released worldwide :
- The majority of the $6,000 is going towards studio time to finish mixing and mastering the album professionally. Mixing and mastering are as much of an art form as creating music itself, so we have made the decision not to sacrifice on this. We want to have the ability to really dial in these mixes and give you the best. A professional mixer and mastering engineer will ensure that this album hits your ears the way we intend it to.
- We want this album to show that in the digital age, live bands still exist and their audience is just as important to the music as the band. We feed off the audience's energy and no two shows are the same. With this in mind, we want you to be as much a part of this album as the band is, and we are offering some perks that give you this opportunity. You can be an Executive Producer or even a background singer on two of the songs. Each perk is personalized with YOU (the fans) in mind. Besides giving you the best part (the music) we are offering a chance to actually meet and hang with the band.
- If we don't reach our goal, we will use whatever funds we make to pay for as much studio time as possible to complete and release this album. We really want to get this music out now, while it's hot!
