“The BENDERS CIRCUIT”
A Documentary on the Audio-Visual Performance scene in and around LA.
This movie features performing artists in the LA area who use customized electronics to create unique audio-visual experiences. This cutting edge genre encompasses experimental electronic music, circuit bending, audio-visual performances with customized equipment.
What makes it Important: The mainstream needs to be challenged. This movement is a totally independent and original scene, and although not driven by commercial concerns, sustains itself and keeps growing creatively. Although unknown to much of the outside world, these performing artists are on the cutting edge of what’s happening in underground art culture.
