Short Summary
My name is Noah Bollow, and I am a fourth year film student at Missouri Western. Being in my last semester, it is time for me to make my thesis film, a short film that is to show all that I have learned during my time in undergrad.
That film is The Breadman. It is an absurdist dramedy that follows a baker, Rye, as he hosts the first date he has ever been on. He is terrified, and thinks back to conversations he has had with his father. Only issue is that his father made sure that bread was the only thing on Rye's mind, everything else is only a distraction.
Rye must choose between his love for baking, or the love that is baking between him and his date. Will he choose correctly?
This film has become very personal to me and one that I hold close to my heart. I need help with funding in order to ensure that production goes as smoothly as possible.
What We Need & What You Get
The funding for The Breadman will go to two things: props and food.
Props for this film, while there are not a ton, are mainly perishable items: Breadmaking ingredients. I want to ensure that we have enough ingredients have genuine bread for each scene that needs it. I presume I would only need about $50 for the props budget.
The next thing that I will need, specifically for production, is food. We are slated to have four days of shooting, and for each of those days, I want to be able to provide a lunch for my talented cast and crew. Catering isn't cheap, and with about 20 people involved in this film, I estimate that food will be about $200/day. Please help me give back to the people who will be putting in just as much work as I am for this film!

Individuals who donate over $100 will be credited with a "Producer" title for the release of the film.
Individuals who donate over $150 will be able to be an extra on the film. There is a scene which demands a lot of extras, and that could be you!
Individuals who donate over $200 will be credited with an "Executive Producer" title for the release of the film, and will have early access to rough cuts of the film!

The Impact
This film will undoubtedly set the tone for my future projects going into the real world. I plan to submit this to as many festivals as I can. These festivals help everyone involved to have their talents showcased, and make each and every person grow their resume. I have the opportunity to work with some amazing artists, and I would love some help to make sure that I can do right by all of them.
Risks & Challenges
As with all student films, there are going to be challenges. Namely the funding is going to be the biggest challenge. While some short films like this can be made with budgets of $10,000, I am taking the simpler route, and making the most bang out of each buck I receive. That being said, it will not be without it's challenges, but those are challenges I am ready to take on.
The people I work with are some of the most hardworking, passionate, and professional student filmmakers I have ever met, and we are all in it to make the best films possible.

In times like these, sometimes you don't have the funds to share, and I totally get that. I would never expect any monetary contribution from anyone. Only donate if you are totally financially secure to do so. If not, there are plenty of other ways you can help.
