Summary
The Centipede is a graphic novel intended for middle-grade age children, but tells a story guaranteed to resonate with readers of all ages.
The graphic novel follows Caleb, an outcasted centipede attempting to navigate middle school as he finds himself alone in a big city when a field trip goes awry. What he discovers along the way about himself and those of his kind will change his life forever...
Daffodil Creatives, the team behind The Centipede, want to bring this tale of acceptance and belonging told through the (many) eyes of the story's bug characters to life for our fourth-year university practicum project at TMU.
To do this, the funds raised in this campaign will be going towards our marketing campaign and printing and publishing the finished copies of our book.
What We Need & What You Get
The more funds we are able to raise, the more copies of the book we will be able to print and distribute!
If you decide to support our project, you could receive your name in the Acknowledgements for your contribution as well as your own paperback copy of the book!
The Impact
Within our team, the challenges of fitting in are experiences that we have faced routinely throughout different stages of our lives. The goal of The Centipede is to be able to see these parts of your experience identified in a children's story and for other kids to be able to read it and find comfort in it as well.
We hope that by supporting our project, you will be helping us to bring this story to readers of all ages and backgrounds that will find solace in its message.
