The Story:
The story is about a young boy who finds a Golden Age comic book at a yard sale and finds himself drawn into a world of caped heroes, evil villains, and a death ray that is powerful enough to destroy a city. The story will be printed on classic newsprint to capture the Golden Age look. The comic will be 32 pages overall, with 28 pages of story, and four pages of extras.

About Us:
Author- Doctor Lore is an Army veteran who served in the Iraq war. He is now an aspiring writer and novelist. He holds a Master of Arts in History, and is a member of the Royal Historical Society in London. He has authored several books in both fiction and nonfiction categories.

Illustrator- Trevor Nielson is an Army aviation mechanic in addition to being a professional artist. He has worked on several indie comic projects, including being an assistant to Batton Lash on "Supernatural Law," and has a Joan of Arc comic entitled "The Lily Maid," which is currently in progress.

Colorist- Syrena Sketches is an Army veteran who served in Korea, and is a professional illustrator, having graduated from the Ringling College of Art in Sarasota, Florida. She has illustrated several gaming books and children's books.

Logo Graphic Designer- Bob Stone is an artist and graphic designer who previously designed logos for Richard C. Meyer's comics "Jawbreakers" and "Iron Sights," as well as for half a dozen other comics. He is currently designing a logo for our next project, the fantasy graphic novel series "The Duskbringer Saga." He is also designing the logo for the graphic novel "The Expendables Go To Hell," by Chuck Dixon and Sylvester Stallone.

What You Get
As with all such campaigns, what you get will depend on which tier you select. For this campaign the following are the tiers and perks:
$10- Backer receives a copy of the comic. No frills.
$20- Backer receives two copies of the comic.
$25- Backer receives a copy of the comic, signed by the author.
$200- Backer has their likeness drawn into the comic as a background character at a fancy ball in a panel on page five (limit- one of one). This perk also includes two signed copies of the comic.
$200- Backer has their likeness drawn into the comic as one of the villain's goons in a panel on page seven (limit- one of one). This perk also includes two signed copies of the comic.
What We Need
We need an additional 318 backers on the lowest tier (as of April 15th) to make this book possible. This goes down to 164 backers with the signed comic tier, or to somewhere in between with a mix of tiers. This amount is what we will need to allow us to ensure that we can cover the printing and distribution of the comic, as well as expenses such as good packaging to ensure comics are not damaged in transit.
