We Need Your Help!!
We are currently seeking funding help for "The Devil's Lettuce" - a new comedy short film from Tri-Force Entertainment, written by Dave Harlequin and directed by Adam York.
This is a very, VERY low budget project that is ONLY even happening because of the ton of very talented people willing to donate their time and/or repay favors.
EVERY. SINGLE. DOLLAR. DONATED. goes DIRECTLY to (
and only to) the following things:
- FOOD/DRINK. - our cast/crew is working for free... the least we can do is feed them... and maybe buy them a few beers each for the wrap party.
- TRAVEL EXPENSES. - gas costs money, lodging costs money. Many of our cast/crew are traveling just to be a part of this. We'd like to at least scratch out enough to throw some gas money their way and at least rent a hotel room for a night that our out-of-towners can crash in.
- COSTUME RENTAL. - we have need of ONE major costume for this, and the rental on it is $75. Beyond that, we'll be hitting our local thrift shops for random costume stuff as needed.
- PROMOTION. - after (and only after) we can meet the above goals, we will need assistance getting this thing onto DVD, getting artwork drawn up, getting posters printed, getting ppromo/giveaway items to help spread the word, etc.
That's it! We're not trying to make any money off of this. We're just trying to take care of the people that help take care of us!
What IS The Devil's Lettuce?
The Devil's Lettuce is an homage to the 1950s-era anti-drug/propaganda films. It is a very tongue-in-cheek pseudo-exposè of "The Devils Lettuce" a synthetic drug made from combining marijuana and rabbit DNA that's distributed by a sinister, Communist rabbit-worshiping cult known as "The Hutch of Truth"
Shot entirely in stunning 1950s-style RETROVISION - from the look to the wardrobe, to the terrible effects of the chemicals, The Devil's Lettuce is a haunting tale of a young, All-American boy who gets in with the wrong crowd, tries this drug once, gets horribly addicted, and ultimately tries to escape the clutches of this evil, drug-dealing, rabbit-worshiping cult who means to convert the young man into a Communist, and ultimately a sacrifice to the evil god Rabbitus. Warn your children! The Devils Lettuce is among us! It could come to kill your son, or your daughter, or yours, or yours, OR YOURS!!
Risks & Challenges
The truth is, this is a very low budget film that's entirely put together by a ton of very talented people who just love what they do. The film will be made, regardless. The ONLY risks & challenges are:
- We don't raise any money to feed our crew, and everyone starves.
- We don't raise any money to buy/rent quality costuming.
- We can't afford to make it look as good as it deserves to.

Seriously, we're not asking for a lot here... fact is, Indiegogo made us make the limit $500, but in truth we only need about $200-250 at this point to meet our "ralistic goal" - anything after that will be VERY helpful, though. Surely you have one dollar you can spare to help fund something so many people love!
