Welcome to our Indiegogo campaign to Pre-order The Essential Book of K9 and  become a huge part in making the book bigger than we could ever hope for.

I'm Paul Tams, who along with K9's original co-creator BOB BAKER created K9's own TV series which has and is still being broadcast on BBC KIDS, CHANNEL TEN, DISNEY XD, SY-FY, FIVE and THE CARTOON NETWORK, as well as on channels in many countries as diverse as TURKEY and RUSSIA.

The love for classic and new K9 is widespread across a vast age group across the world and we are passionate about celebrating this character in both further TV exploits and on the printed page.

K9 is an iconic character, having appeared firstly for several years in DOCTOR WHO; his own New Year BBC Special, THE SARAH JANE ADVENTURES and a return to DOCTOR WHO alongside 10th Doctor, David Tennant, then his own TV series featuring an upgraded design.  It's amazing there has never been a book dedicated to the full story of K9; his adventures in Time and Space and beyond and the making of the TV shows in which he appeared.  We aim to correct this oversight and present an amazing volume of Features, Photos and behind the scenes information. We also aim to have several new Stories and comic strips from Classic Writers including BOB BAKER himself.

This book will be unique and your funding will help us publish the definitive version that most publishers would see as too risky and costly to invest in.

We want to use the funding to also pay for classic comic strip artists  and expand the page count to well over 100 full colour pages. Writers and Artists and contributors will be announced as the campaign progresses.

We have set a goal of £5,000 UK pounds which will pay for print costs and some of our production costs involved. If we are lucky enough to exceed this amount we will approach other writers and illustrators to help expand the book and make it an invaluable must have for any fan's collection. All funds will go into making the book Bigger and even better!

The book will become a lasting tribute to the people who created, acted alongside, designed and built K9 throughout the years and an insight into the world of TV production. Plus a look behind the scenes at plans for K9's further adventures on screen!

Publishing this book ourselves gives us the artistic freedom to present an in depth look at K9 and his many lives and the shows in which he appeared.  Therefore we will not have a publishing house making demands on cuts and trying to aim the book at just one audience. We aim to  present the book we want to publish to  satisfy everyone. Publishers asked us to make it simple without the additional cost of using Artists for K9 CROSS-SECTION CUTAWAYS and Comic strips, but we see this as a creative and unique selling point.

The book will be available during this campaign at a SPECIAL price.

If we reach our initial goal we will unveil news and updates about the book  with new stretch goals being applied as we go along.
