Metamorphosis
When Alex and Cat (the 'we' in this anecdote) bonded over an obsession with Hilary Duff, we never imagined this inside joke would blossom into the passion project it has become. Nostalgia ensued and reminiscing through the lens of Hilary and her journey brought about universal themes, from self-actualization to feminine empowerment. The original production in 2012 was a success, so much that its popularity garnered a revival production in 2015. The revival gained the attention of Duff herself, who tweeted at us stating her support for the show. So now we are here, in Chicago, with H Duff's approval... so why not? We're going for round three in November of 2017.

A Girl Can Rock!
Experience one hour of nostalgia and heart with a dash of tongue-in-cheek humor. We open on a young starlet and end on the Hilary we know and love today- a driven mother who is still working in the industry that tried to chew her up and spit her out of the Disney machine. You'll hear your favorite Disney Channel Start jams, see wacky versions of popular early-2000s heartthrobs, and shudder at some verbatim YouTube comments, that yes, real people left on Hilary Duff's videos.

With the encouragement of our peers and mentors, we are motivated to self-produce this show in Chicago. We would love your help! Our funding needs are broken up into four areas.

Our team consists of artists who are creating our own opportunity to share what we love with those around us. Whether we reach our goal or go beyond it, know that your money will go straight back to the artists and our ability to put on the best show we possibly can.
Beat of My Heart
In times of crisis, we strive for laughter- to reminisce on times when your biggest worry was why Lizzie McGuire's BFF Miranda up and moved to Mexico with no explanation. This show brought many cross-sections of the Northwestern community together through their love, indifference, and/or fascination with pop cultures heroes from their childhood. It would be an honor to use this show to foster another strong and silly community in the beautiful and diverse city of Chicago.
