Our Story
I am Kyle McQueen, a film student and filmmaker. My fellow classmates and I are determined to make a short film and make it to the best of our abilities. The script is a romantic sci-fi thriller that tells the story of a lone man investigating a derelict spaceship in the far reaches of space. On board the ship, he begins to see visions of his wife. As he chases her through the ship, he sees disturbed visions from their past that haunt him until he comes to terms with his loss. To do this, our art direction would need to be tremendous. For our art direction to be tremendous, we need a bit of funding. That's where you guys come in. You can help us make an amazing film.
The Impact
We want to show people that living your dream and becoming successful by doing what you love is not impossible. We want to produce something beautiful and amazing that we can enter into festivals and turn into a feature down the road. If this short is successful, it puts us all that much closer to making a feature, and if that is successful... then we have achieved that dream. We want to show people what hard work can truly do.
What We Need & What You Get
We need the funding to create our beautiful spaceship interior sets as well as the wardrobe for our characters. We have the locations, we have the camera, we have the film... all we need is that extra little bit to put toward the set building. This will all be estimated to cost about $2500. We receive $800 from our school and we have received a few generous donations from classmates adding up to about $500. This leaves about $1200 left to go. If we can make it to $1000 on here, we are willing to fill in the rest of the costs.
If you help us out, we can give you some pretty cool stuff. Basic packages would include signed posters and anthologies from our directors (hey, they could be worth something down the road... or so we hope :D). Spend a little more and our directors will take you out for dinner and a movie, on them. Throw some more our way and we'll give you an opportunity to be a featured extra (you must find your own way to Orlando however). Go a little further and we'll let you represent us, along with other crew, on the festival circuit! If you really wanna wow us, we'll give you a producing credit AND bring you on for the potential feature. Everyone who donates at least $10 will be able to see their name in the credits!

Tell your friends! The more people that know, the more people can help! Post a link on Facebook, Twitter, or Tumblr... link us on your blog or email your coworkers. If you can't personally donate to us, referring us to someone who can is just as big a help. If you really wanna help out, have a drive or fundraiser of your own. It'll help you get to those nicer perks as well!
