The first season was made on a shoestring budget (less than $500.00), and the goal for the second season is to up the production values and scale that we can tell these incredible stories on. (How else are we going to get a Klingon on this show?)
New Logs & New Adventures
THE RED SHIRT DIARIES season 2 will feature Ensign Williams in some of the most well-known Original Series episodes of all time including: BALANCE OF TERROR, ARENA, SPACE SEED, THIS SIDE OF PARADISE and CITY ON THE EDGE OF FOREVER. Our season two will cover the rest of The Original Series first season, 19 episodes in total! Also, since our production in based in Los Angeles we are also planning THE RED SHIRT DIARIES’ very first away mission – to Vasquez Rocks! – one of the original shooting locations for Star Trek in the 1960s! Over the course of season 2 Ensign Williams will loosen up a little from her no-nonsense attitude in season 1 as she encounters more and more familiar faces (and Easter Eggs!), from Star Trek: the Original Series.

Risks and Challenges of Space
Assuming that Ensign Williams survives to the end of the series, THE RED SHIRT DIARIES season 2 will face some additional challenges: actors/crew could drop out or get ill, equipment could malfunction, outdoor shoots could be interrupted for any number of reason, just to name a few.
In fact, the night before THE RED SHIRT DIARIES was to begin shooting an important crew member dropped out. However, we rallied together, had some amazing people step up to the plate and still managed to get ten episodes in the can in two days! THE RED SHIRT DIARIES has always come out on time, never missing a Monday airing and never dropping even an hour late.
From our previous experience working in new media under Jason Inman’s guidance THE RED SHIRT DIARIES has a proven track record of overcoming any diversity we are faced with.
