Namaste
As this year has passed, we have experienced both the profound loss of our Guru and the unimagined growth and transformation of our Kashi community. In reflection, Ma would be most proud of all who are part of Kashi. We have approached the one year anniversary of Ma Jaya Sati Bhagavati’s Mahasamadhi and a unique opportunity has arisen. One of Ma’s passing wishes was to have her ashes brought home to the source of the Mother Ganga at Gangotri, India.
At the beginning of the year, Swami Moksha Ram Nityananda also left his body. All who knew him, are aware of his desire to always follow and rest at the feet of the Mother. Soo Se and Shiva as brothers, sons, and gurubai will be bringing their parents ashes to not only Gangotri, but also to the ashrams of Neem Karoli Baba in north India at Kainchi and Swami Nityananda’s ashram in the south at Kerala.
While dedication and love is in abundance and more than half of the funds have been earned, the complete funding for this journey has yet to be attained. This trip will be happening and while each of us cannot stand on the banks and watch the ashes of our Guru and gurubai merge with the Mother Ganga, we each can have the opportunity to be part of this experience.
Pictures of this event will be posted on the Darshan line for everyone. But in appreciation for your financial support, Soo Se and Shiva will be bathing murtis and rudraksha beads in the Ganga while the ashes are being poured. These blessed items and more will be given to all who were able to contribute.
This pilgrimage to India can be the first of many that we, as Ma Jaya’s devotees and chelas, will make when the time is right for each of us.
On the reverse of this is a pledge card. If you would like to be an integral part of this journey, please fill it out and return to Kashi office. All contributions remaining will be donated to the construction of Ma Jaya Sati Bhagavati’s Memorial mandir on Kashi.
Thank you and pranams.
