WHO
We are a hip-hop band with an active interest in sustainability and using our music to elevate awareness of serious environmental issues and engage our fanbase to take positive social action.
Our new video ‘This Earth Is F**ked’ (shot at Vauxhall City Farm) - https://youtu.be/RuELL1fE3rc - is not only a ballad of rage, comedy and genuine concern, but a rallying cry to step up, combine efforts, and make a real difference.
We have released this video to coincide with World Environment day 2020 and the launch of this project, Too Many Trees. With your support, we hoping to plant at least 10,000 trees, with a minimum target of 1,000 this November.
The more we raise though, the more we can plant. The sky is the limit, so help us out and let's plant a damn forest! You can literally join in!
WHY?
Unless you’re head has been buried in the warm soil, you will be fully aware that the earth is pretty f**ked right about now and we’re not talking about the pandemic.
Despite a record drop in CO2 emissions in 2020 (predicted to be between 4-8%, thanks lockdown), the science tells us that an average reduction of 7.6% is required every year from 2020-2030 to basically not spark off uncontrollable climate madness.
We’re talking worldwide extreme weather, famine, mass-extinction and war. So no biggy guys!
We’re all humans and our biology dictates we prioritise immediate threats. But as thousands of people are now screaming along with us – climate change is now an immediate threat and we have to act NOW.
WHAT WE'RE DOING
'But you two just make Hip-hop music, what are you on about!?' You may ask.
Well, we really (really) give a shit about the environment and always have. One of us has a masters degree in sustainability (bet you didn’t know that). Bottom line though, we want to make a direct impact.
What’s more, we know our fans and like-minded musicians around us really care.
So, along with our community and any legends who want to join in, we are going to:
- Plant 10,000 trees in the UK
- Increase climate change education, without boring people to death.
- De-bunk the bullshit, at every opportunity
WHAT WE DOING AND WHEN
The first planting mission (virus permitting) is one weekend day in mid-October 2020 - when we will plant a minimum of 1,000 trees with approx 20-25 volunteers.
We will plant oak trees, which allow a stable base for a forest to thrive with other species and animals, tailored to the secret planting location just outside London. We are planting with 'Gone West' - who will ensure the trees are maintained and protected for a minimum 99 years - so you KNOW that carbon will be offset with your help here. They will also give us the vital lessons needed to plant trees, so its also going to be a good learning curve if you join us!
The day will consist of digging, trees, hip-hop, great food and some drinks - if doing this isn’t fun, then it’s not worth it (It really is, but you get the gist!)
It's easy to get involved: You can get all sorts of other sneaky treats in the Perks section on the right over there ---->
And remember the more we raise the more trees we plant, there is no upper limit to what we can do and we can plant more or all of the 10,000 overall target on the first trip! Please help us do the undebatable right thing for the planet here.
WHAT WE NEED MONEY FOR
- Oak tree saplings
- Guard tubes and stake
- Contribution to IndieGoGo costs
AND
- Help spreading the word, share this campaign and the music video
- Help us build a community of like-minded people :)
Notes...
- Each tree planter will be responsible for travel costs to destination, we will help organise car shares.
- We will ask people to bring some shareable food for the group.
- We will ask people to bring tools if they have some, but our planting partners will help with equipment too.
- We are all donating 15 signed copies of our LA FAM ILL vinyl for sale and all will contribute to trees going in the ground.
- We will be back with another fundraise to plant more towards the target in 2021!

Who are Too Many T’s
Leon & Ross - are an award-winning, fun-loving rap duo who have toured the world performing their unique brand of infectious high-energy-feel-good hip hop.
Following the successful campaign to raise money to provide hives for 60,000 new bees they are once again switching lanes and shifting focus towards their passion for environmental issues. With your support they are hoping to reduce carbon emissions and use our platform to catalyse real change.
TMT's say... “We aim to make people feel good, but we also really care about the state of the earth and have to speak up and take action in whatever way we can. Trying to combine this positive vibe while highlighting the plight of the earth is not an easy task, but we’ve tried to do that with this project.”
“Launching the track reminds us that there are still many serious issues we are facing, both nationally and globally, and we offer some direct action with Too Many Trees - something we hope will snowball over the years into a huge project.”
