Well, this is my first time attempting crowdfunding as per a friend's advise.

In the year 2008, the person I was dating at the time received an erroneous package full of toys. For unclear reasons, a policy prevented her from sending it back, so she had the fantastic idea of giving it to the poor people of the area.

Since then, every year I set out to give toys to the children of the area called: " Madre vieja" in Santo Domingo. D.R.

All activities and toys are purchased out of pocket with the help of a few friends as shown in the pictures. (I'm the slim bald guy, my good friend and second mom teacher Carline Paul from Miami, and Haitian American Comedian Aubrey as Black Santa.) we've never turned this into an official event.
This year I would like to reach out to more children with your help.

All the toys purchased are simple, basic ones that require no batteries and have very little to no electronics hence the amount requested. This is an imperative requirement due to the level of poverty of most of the parent who cannot afford to purchase batteries for the toys.

Each toy's price ranges from US$ 5 to US$ 20 dollars at most.
If 5000 people gave US$1 dollar, we would be able to provide approximately 300 children with toys.

If you wish to help by sending a toy instead of currency, you can do so making sure the toys fulfill the following prerequisites:

1- Toy must NOT be battery operated. (Parents cannot pay for batteries)
2 - No electronic games.
3- No warlike toys. (These kids are exposed to a harsh environment, we want to bring joy and stimulate creativity, not perpetuate violence.)

Thanks for helping.

We will be posting pictures of the event for all contributors to see.
