I am an EMT with combat medic experience from Rojava.

I am creating a program that trains individuals who may be subject to various traumatic events such as political demonstrations, hate crimes, or gun violence. The idea is to provide training on dealing with gunshots, stabbing, tear gas, and other potentially life-threatening attacks.

I will first go over methods such as pressure dressing a wound, wound packing with hemostatic dressing, and a myriad of other techniques. My intent is to provide first aid trauma kits to every participant at absolutely no cost to themselves. They can be quite expensive and it is the least well-off, who are most vulnerable.

When it comes to serious trauma seconds count and having bystanders with the proper training and supplies can be the difference between life and death.

We will go over how to treat oneself if fallen a victim such as a traditional IFAK is intended for but also how to render care in emergency situations.

In addition to providing trauma first aid kits we will be passing out NARCAN in order to help combat the growing opioid epidemic. There will be a separate group there doing the training and passing out the NARCAN. At no cost.
