Turn it Up
Welcome to the rock and hair world of 1980s. Welcome to Turn it Up, the Movie. The semi-true, but highly over exagerated story of Attitude Problem, the greatest band that never was. Yes we'd change the names, but no one is going to believe us anyway.
The screenplay has been floating in my head for 30 years and just waiting for the right time to reveal itself to the world. Well that time has come. We had the years of experience and skills under our belts. We had technolgy hit a point where you could make a quality film for not a lot of money. We had a revival in people's appreciation of hair metal music. It was time! Then we went "Holy Hell" music licensing is expensive!!
This is where you come in. We need your help to pay for the music rights. Turn it Up is wall to wall 80s hair metal music. It is a character in this movie. In fact with 44 songs we are wanting to secure the rights for, it is the LEAD CHARACTER. And unfortunately it won't work for tacos and beer.

What We Need & What You Get
Before we begin the pitch for money, let me say this...
"She's my cherry pie. Put a smile on your face ten miles wide. Looks so good bring a...."
Admit it! You knew the lyrics didn't you? In fact you sang it as you read. This is why you need to support our effort to make Turn it Up! "Bring a tear to your eye. Sweet cherry pie!"
Music licensing will be anywhere from $100,000-$200,000 or more. Why the big swing in pricing? It's a three tier process. The sync license, the publishing license and the master use license. Each has it's own fee and may be owned by different companies/individuals. The master use is the granddaddy of them all and allows use of the original album song in our film. As you would guess, it's also the most expensive. Our campaign is for $100,000. That would get us a huge chunk of music. We would have to record or find different versions, but that would get us started. Any more money raised? Well that means more original recordings. As we have said, the soundtrack of your life doesn't come cheap.
So what do you get in return? How about the chance to be part of something really, really cool! American Graffiti set to 1980s hair metal music. Plus our ultimate gratitude.
Oh yeah, and how about some really cool guitar picks!![]()
How about VIP passes to an upcoming Autograph concert. Or cool stuff signed by our resident Rock God, Steve Lynch. More? How about access to behind the scene photos and videos; digital downloads of the film; or attend a premiere screening. You could even have a walk-on-role in the movie or get the chance to be a producer and have access to the set.
But always remember that it's the music. It's how it makes you feel and the memories it brings back. It's that moment when your favorite song comes on the radio and you reach for the volume. Yes we want you to be part of our campaign. We want you to help us make Turn it Up a reality.
Last Thoughts
We at Altered Image Films are truly grateful that you've even made it this far in reading our campaign pitch. We deeply understand the leap of faith you take when contributing to our campaign. Every dollar that we receive will be spent on getting this movie made. If our goal is reached, we will begin production in the spring of 2018. Even if this campaign is moderately successful, we will keep going and keep squeezing every funding channel we have to get the money needed. It's been 30 years...It's time to bring the boys of Attitude Problem to the big screen!
In the words of the great Australian poet Angus Young:
Hail hail to the good times
'Cause rock has got the right of way
We ain't no legend, ain't no 'cause
We're just livin' for today
For those about to rock, we salute you!
