Thank you for donations!
Our campaign has now closed, and we will be in touch with your perks soon.
Where the womxn at?
Founded from a desire to see more female and genderqueer voices on stage, UPROAR is a new festival that will showcase female-identifying and genderqueer artists of all kinds. From theatre, music & dance to fine art, poetry and more -- our goal is to raise up our fellow creators, and keep these important voices singing loud and proud.
By donating to our campaign, you’ll help us launch the inaugural UPROAR Festival in the summer of 2019, and bring female voices to the forefront of the Ottawa arts scene.
Show me the money
We hope to source $1,500 from kind supporters on Indiegogo (like you!) to fund a portion of the festival’s expenses. Our other sources of funding include: fundraiser events, grant funding, merchandise sales, and ticket revenue at the festival in the summer of 2019.
Your contribution will go towards paying our festival expenses, including:

MARKETING

Not just another festival
There are so many strong, unique, female and genderqueer artists in Ottawa -- but we don’t have a designated space to come together across disciplines and showcase our work.
We want to fill that void.
The main goal of UPROAR is to create a community where female-identifying and genderqueer artists of all ages, backgrounds, and disciplines can come together, share their passions, and support each other.
In addition to showcasing work by Ottawa’s many female-identifying and genderqueer artists, we plan to offer professional development & networking workshops during the festival, and throughout the year.
We want to celebrate each other, come together and start an UPROAR!
